Agreed. They toned down the horror in the second until it was just a third person shooter with monsters. I had no problem blowing through TTB, while it took me 10 minutes just to build up the butt to leave the prison cells at the beginning of Prison is Hell.

But don't bother with it, just get the original The Suffering. As Willie said, it was better and definetly much scarier. Those little girl twins were a breaking point for a week for me.

Triggermen are small time. Mainliners and Isolationists are the embodiment of bullshit.

Mainliners were easy as hell, at least in the original. Except for the shower room where they just spawned out of the water. And the sound of crying babies was in the background. But no matter, the Thompson SMG dealt with them very well.

Isolationists were the scum of that game though.

Its got its highs and lows. Biggest issue now is the matchmaking system...can place you by your lonesome against 4 enemy players...

Me and a friend have been playing it quite a bit recently and it's great fun. Have to agree with Ridge though, the matchmaking system could do with sorting out, but that's my only problem with it.

If I'm not mistaken, that is because you are wearing goggles of some sort in those parts of the game. More of an atmospheric touch.

On the surface and in some areas you have to wear a gasmask to survive, as you get shot at and attacked it will start to crack and eventually break.
