Yeah, I noticed that too.. pretty sure if the troops run through the shark area, they track bloody footprints around
 
 
Buggy sucks, you cant really go far with it because of the trees and rocks. I supposed you could go along the beach.

I love the buggy.. its one of the coolest things in the demo (if not THE coolest) I love the handling, and sounds.

however on the island there isnt much place to roam..
 
Heh, getting it in the water isn't that great. The damn thing just stalls and Jack automatically jumps out. I did it on accident but didn't want to start over so I took a boat and rammed the buggy back onto dry land. After that it worked :p

Anyone looked right into a flashbang? Thats a damn cool effect.
 
yeah, looking into a flashbang when it explodes does have a very good effect, very disorienting
 
i like the effect you get when you fall from a high place and land on solid ground.

Dont know if anyone already said this....... but use the flash bang on yourself. Its freakn' cool!
 
I haven't seen a single flashbang... Do mercs. just randomly drop them? Or is there some certain place you find 'em?
 
you can find a flashbang directly at the entrance to the interior areas, sitting on a crate

edit: damn, beat me to it
 
I'm pretty disappointed at the fact that you can hardly explore. From my little mountain spot I could see pretty far but that stupid helicopter keeps nagging me. I also ran into the 'wall of pain', but that seemed to stop as I climbed upwards. So no notarget cheat? What I'd really like are some spawn commands.
 
Can someone Pm me the far cry demo cheats ? Please, I'll be you're best friend :D
 
Fuhrer, I have explored pretty much the whole island. Go to the Far Cry forums and you will find how.

here are some screens...

1 - The magical mystery table floating in the air on the other side of the island.

7a - I am on top of that huge hill behind that base.

4 - Shot a rocket down tot he docks from atop the hill in pic 7a.

5a - The soldier checks on his buddy after hearing me shoot him.

6a - The soldier runs away, looks like he is trying to kiss his own ass or something.

Switch FSAA/AF to application preferance (off) in your D3D graphics card settings

?? for some reason the radeons arnt coping with it very well. lol ATI think there bad ass. Geforce cards rule when it comes to the Demo. but im buying the 9800 later before the HL2 release. get some discounts on it at trade price :)
 
umm, could anyone post the cheats..? Id really like to see the rest of the Island without being bitched by a chopper. :)
