British Sea Power - Man of Aran film & soundtrack

I had a very long story behind this drawn-out used-cd/dvd impulse buy, but really it just boils down to (1) Rough Trade Records sucks at labeling their packaging; and (2) despite not liking anything else by British Sea Power, I actually find this quite nice, probably because there isn't any singing involved.

[edit] Holy crap I've known about the music for a year now but just watched the film with it. This is brilliant. Seriously. Go watch it. Beautiful footage. Apart from a bit in the middle, music was perfect. Wow. No words.

Just got a new three piece glass desk. These terrible webcam pics are the only ones I can get at the moment.

New ESP LTD i bought to celebrate, for on this day I was lucky enough to score tickets to Metallica (two shows sold out in 20 minutes)

Yeah. Actually, I tried it last, since it was the only game I knew what it would be like and I wanted to see what the others were like. It's my favorite though. I love how you actually pull drawers open with the mouse and stuff. Very cool

If you use that for video chat, they'd barely be able to make out what color you are.
 
I said they were webcam pictures. It's actually nice when using it for video chat, but using it as an image taking camera blows.

I'll just steal my sister's camera tomorrow and get some good ones.

No, sorry, but that doesn't make any sense. You're doing something wrong. There's no reason frame-grabs from a webcam should be that crappy.

Bought this for 10 euros on a Dutch Ebay-like website :)
I really like the back/forward buttons, and the ones to adjust DPI(which are particularly useful for BF:BC2 which has a very slow mouse speed for tanks compared to normal)
 
Is that the MX-518? How well does it work for you?
You should get a new mousing surface if all you use is your desk.
 
Why does it look like the back of the mouse is dented, like it's made of thin metal.

Yep it is, but compared to my old mouse(a Compaq mouse from the 90's which uses a ball) it's not a very big improvement in terms of accuracy for games. But the additional buttons and higher DPI options are a nice addition.

I see no reason to buy a mouse mat, it works perfectly on my desk because the mouse is optical(not laser)

It's just plastic, with some kind of print underneath it which gives reflections. Looks fancy.

Avatar for $10! I know its kinda bad, but I really liked the movie. the cables are long, which will help me move my PS3 very far away from my TV, and the series looked kinda neat

Took a bus trip today. Stopped by a really nice, awesome little record store. They have a decent selection of semi-obscure stuff and surprisingly don't mark up the prices at all. I've been thinking of mail-ordering some stuff from cst records ever since I read an interview with Efrim where he said money from touring wasn't really enough, and then I thought about how they pretty much have to split everything 8 ways since they have so many people playing, and... yeah, guilt trip. But this record store sells 'em at exactly the same price (+/- $1) as buying direct, and I don't have to pay for postage to Canada.

Everything on the left is GYBE - Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada ($9). I'm pretty pleased with this because (1) the shiny metallic embossed stuff is nice; (2) I've never before seen a pic of what the actual cd inside looks like; (3) also didn't realize that what's often shown in pics as the front cover, might actually be the back cover? totally confuzzling (4) you can't even buy this in cd format via mail-order to the record label, and I have no intentions at the moment of getting a record player.

Everything on the right is Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra (without Tra-La-La Band :() -- Kollaps Tradixionales ($13). They carried pretty much everything SMZ has put out. Spent a while debating whether to get Kollaps or He Has Left Us Alone.... as I didn't have enough cash on me for all of them. I like the lyrics insert sheet.

Anyways, it's a good thing I don't live near this shop, otherwise there'd be a very real danger of me going broke pretty fast.

Oh yeah, and that is a ticket for Mono/Twilight Sad, 10 days from now. I just need to find somebody to go with me!!

yeah, my 81 suzuki 450... i sold it a few years ago, and just bought it back for 300...
