how much did you sell for?
Ok, long story ahead:

So I had the suzuki for over a year when I decided I was ready to "upgrade" (it is an early 80's 450 after all). My friend was selling a 96 Kawazaki ZX6R for a 1k. So I sold my suzuki for 300 as a down payment for the ninja.

Turns out, the guy I sold the Suzuki to, failed to mention that he had his license revoked. He soon got pulled over, and the bike was impounded. He never registered it in his name, so the tow yard bills came to me. When I found the bill, I had already racked up 400 dollars in storage fees. So I went down to the tow yard, and they said they couldn't release it to me. Turns out that according to state law (California) if the vehicle is impounded because someone who was driving/riding it at the time had an revoked license, it has to remain in storage for 30 days in order to be released to the registered owner (me). The only way around it was to go to DMV to transfer the title to someone else. So I contacted a coworker who had been interested in the bike from the beginning, and explained the situation. I told him that, if he payed for registration fees to get it transferred to his name, I would let him have the bike (since I already owed 400+ and the bill was climbing every day). He agreed and he got the bike and I ended up paying 500 bucks to the tow company. I was pissed, but at least I had my ninja... until it blew a cylinder a week later. It would have cost me 2 thousand to get it fixed, way more than what the bike was worth. So I got rid of it. Two years later I happened to talk to the old coworker I sold the Suzuki to, and he said he had never rode it in all the time he had it. I asked if he was willing to sell it back to me, and I agreed to pay 2 years worth registration plus a little extra for him holding onto it.

yup. took it around the block and it was friggin amazing. Forgot how much power that old bike had. So now Im going to take my time to restore it so it looks like new (cant really see in that pic, but theres a shit load of rust all over that bike)

I want a motorcycle so bad right now. I'm most likely going to have to wait until next year to get my own, but they are so much fun to ride.
I'm glad you're enjoying it once again. It looks like a nice bike.

I always knew that game was out of this world.

lol, its my black carpet

 :naughty:

EDIT: just got my new Turtle Beach headset for $60 for the 360 and PC, but I think it'll also work for the PS3 and anything else.

after playing Bioshock tonight with it, I can safely say these are the best headphones I've ever used. My Sony extra bass ones are nice for my PC but these sound like a whole new experience for me. You can probably dish out a good $200 for some good headphones but these will save you a lot of money and work on just about anything with AV connections. Hell I bet I can plus my phone or iPod into this as well. and for some reason my 8MP camera on my Incredible took some really shitty pictures that looked decent at first.

My awesome new Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker t-shirt from Uniqlo! Also new black Levi's 501...

Not sure which to rage at, 63's ipad trolling or deathmaster's stock image.

It's a sad day when we live in a world where people recognize an ipad but don't know what the **** a tablet is.

:(

There are tablet advertisements on television, in print and on billboards. Yep.

Got another one lol.

LOL, do you really need two, or are you just trolling all the iPad-haters? :p

Also I was thinking of getting a tablet, but I'm concerned that the size you've got there (is it A6?) would be too small to actually do anything without getting frustrated. And a Wacom A5 tablet would be quite significantly more expensive AFAIK.

Or should I get a cheaper brand's A5 for a first tablet (which I'm not even sure how extensively I'd use)?

We're not a bunch of average joes here, Qonf, we're nerds on an internet gaming forum for chrissake.

Except this isn't an art or graphic design forum. It is a PC gaming forum. Your video card analogy is stupid because video cards are directly related to gaming.

But I was just trolling you.

I've got older model of a Wacom, they're great, saves you a shit load of paper.

Although i need a piece of paper in the drawing centre thought, I don't like the feel of drawing on glass.

As far as I know, there's three sizes of the Wacom tablet: the small (one I got), medium, and large. The medium goes up in price about $100, and the large yet another benjamin.

So far I've tried making some sketches/illustrations in larger resolutions (2000 x 2000, 300 dpi) and have found very little hindrances, as the software I use is able to basically zoom in and out when the active area of the tablet isn't sufficient.

Anywho, i would advise you to buy a more expensive tablet (Wacom, Cintiq) if you are going to use it extensively (i.e. everyday) because if not it's just going to become one of those expensive things you own that you just don't use. If you're a beginner, and you wanna try out what it's like to draw digital stuff as a hobby, then go for the cheaper brand ones... and if you have the extra cash lying around then hell, go for the Wacom.

The purpose of why I bought Wacom was more career-oriented than anything, meaning I'm going to use it on a day-to-day basis. It seems like if you want to get more serious into digital mediums, then you should buy higher-end instruments. I would've gone with the medium-sized one but I didn't have the extra $100 :p.

Heh, it's not for me, it's for me mami. Haters will eventually convert, just give them some time :).

I read this and am reminded of Futurama. But then again, everything reminds me of Futurama.

Leela: Didn't you have ads in the 21st century?"

Fry: Well sure, but not in our dreams. Only on TV and radio, and in magazines, and movies, and at ball games... and on buses and milk cartons and t-shirts, and bananas and written on the sky. But not in dreams, no siree.

I for one don't want to see another mans junk....again.....today..... :/

Continuing the guilt trip, I had a music purchasing binge. Some new stuff, some used stuff, mostly stuff I should've bought a long time ago. Especially the Explosions album which I've been listening to for the past six years or so. Yikes. Managed to complete the Godspeed and Explosions collections. Forging ahead.

here be pretty artwork, pretty liner note ramblings, and a musical road map, in a very crappy photo that I'm too lazy to retake:

And I'm off to watch the Mono dvd which I'm rather excited about since it's the only thing here that's actually new to me, and aside from a few audio-video syncing issues, it's supposed to be very good.

Top right album reminds me of Set Yourself On Fire by Stars.

Finally watched the dvd. It's really awesome. I highly recommend, even if you only kinda like Mono from their studio recordings. (I actually disliked the studio recording of Everlasting Light, but it's absolutely spectacular live -- esp. with the orchestra). Also, forgot to mention the first shipment of this mail order never arrived and I sent a polite email to Temporary Residence asking about it (I actually assumed the money I mailed in got lost, not the actual items). They offered to send a second shipment totally free. Buy from them. They are good people.

As for album artwork, Explosions: '03. Stars: '04. I think it's clear who wins this battle. :p
