im a little bit sad that they went away from the slightly more realistic to a more 'wii' version, but it works so damn well that its easily forgivable. everyone loves cute but sometimes you just want to build a bad-ass of the spore world.
 
French Ninja, penis-monsters are being reported to Maxis and 'classed', so in the final version players will be able to choose whether or not they have 'mature content creatures' in their games.:)
 
by 'slightly more realistic' i mean less big googly eyes and big smiling mouths. the art style has remained consistant.
 
It looked a little less bright and cutesy back in 05.

And it contained more realism as far as creature movement and actions are concerned.
 
Anybody made any wacky creations from the full creature creator yet? It is has been released hasn't it?

Nevermind, it is now 12:07 CST, and it still hasn't been released. I bought the damn thing, now when can I download it?
 
WTF is this? EA download manager says I have completed my download of "0KB of 0KB" of the spore creature creator. When I go to play it, it does the intros and then crashes.

Cool, though needs to be chubbier/less defined to more match my avatar. I know you didn't do it, but still.
 
It's not letting me log on when I get into the creature creator. I checked my password and verified my email but it still won't let me.

If ya really like the trial and feel limited in what you can do sometimes, then ya it's worth it. There's some pretty neato parts.

Like I was wishing I had a beak for one of my guys before... and I had to manually add a spike to my raptor guy's foot in the trial but there's a foot that actually includes that extra big claw on the foot in the full version. :p

Why do some of these creature have glossy skin and some don't?

I have all graphic settings on high and my creatures are never glossy. DX10?
 
I've decided to essentially hold off on buying the CC as I fear I'll grow tired of making creatures all the time and by the time I finally get the game, I'll have no desire to customize anything.

I'm guessing it's a feature available only in the full creature creator.
