braid 9/10

only tried the trial out but it's much fun. The reversing time never gets old and it also seems to have this undeniable charm around it :)

Red alert 3 beta WTF/10

I've had the beta installed for a while but not got the chance to play it until now and first game I play and my brand new pc gets it's first BSOD WTF? O_O

From the 5 minutes I did get to play it just seems to play the same as cnc 3 albeit not as interesting really.

Anyone else had problems with this?

Call of Cthulhu 7.5/10
Fun game. For a horror it didn't really do much in ways of scares but very immersing in the storyline. Great cinematic and voice acting.

SWAT 4 - kickass/10

Whenever I played Rainbow Six Raven Shield, SWAT 4 is the game I wanted it to be, down to the tazer. I love this game. You yell at guys to get on the ground so you can zip tie them, you've got the fiber optic wire thing, you've got lethal and non-lethal guns/grenades (like the stinger - I love this one). Play it.

NAO.

EDIT: Just beat mission 2 (mission 1 and 2 got 100%), this game is wierd, if the rest is like this, then BEST GAME EVAR. I used the pepper spray paintball gun in mission 2, by the way.. I love it. I used it on the old lady.

Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3D 9/10

I will always love this game.

Penumbra: Overture - 8/10
Penumbra: Black Pague 8/10

Good surprises, i didn't knew the Penumbra games, they are really good. A bit too short, but very intense. Its very inspired in HL.

red alert 3 beta boring/10

after playing this and fixing the previous issues I had I've came to realise that it's quite boring. CNC 3 was the first RTS i ever played and as such I thought it was the dog's ********. However after playing some other RTS like COH, the older cncs and starcraft I realise that it's quite crap and and I can see why some people say EA have ruined the CNC franchise. This game is the same as TW and really I just don't like it anymore.

Quake 2- I'm not really sure what to make of it. I guess it's good for '97 or '98 when it was made. The bosses were waaay too easy though.

I guess a seven out of diez.

darwinia demo 6/10

It seems ok but I got bored halfway through and quit. It just seems like a very simple RTS really so I don't really get the huge hype behind this one.

Heh Darwinia.. Played for about 30 mins. At first I was enjoying it but it quickly became rather meh.

zombie shooter demo- 6/10
pistols are waaaaay overpowered, might as well not even use anything else, unless you get something upgraded to level three or get bored of the sound. Also, the game is super easy for a few levels until suddenly, there's the shooting zombies and the difficulty skyrockets in a matter of seconds.

despite all that, is was a fun mindless shooter. 2d. sounds sucked. But fun. Definitely NOT worth twenty bucks. If it were ten, I'd buy the full version.

Cool so it's not just me. It's just I constantly herd great things about it and then I played it and I thought "Is this it?"

FEAR - 7/10

So I finally got around to 'buying' (haha) FEAR. It's a pretty good game, I'm a bit hard on it because I didn't play it when it was top-of-the-line, but seems to me it's an average shooter with slo-mo. Fun to play, worth checking out.. A bit late for the review and the recommendation lol.

@Lefty - I 'got' the full version of Zombie Shooter (EXACTLY like Alien Shooter with new textures), but since your playing the demo I bet they gave you an easy level, later in the game you get rocket launcher wielding psychos, VERY hard to kill. The game steals alot of levels from Alien Shooter: Vengeance (the retail boxed one - I actually bought, it's good).

There were a bunch of nemesis-looking things with giant mortars, yeah. I've never even heard of Alien shooter, I only saw ZS because of a link on the Crimsonland page. I was looking for news on crimsonland 2, which I don't really have any hope of coming out soon.

starcraft 9/10 - still playing this and i really like it but i'm still finding this murder to get through the campaign :(

Ok, so I tried to give Rome: Total War another chance (for like the 5th or 6th time :|), and it's still shit, but as I've said before, the battles are somewhat entertaining.

3/10

Honestly, I've never given any game more chances to wow me other then RTW.. People say this is the best game ever or is very very good.. I just don't see how it's so good.. People keep telling 'oh Dog, lol, you're just stupid, give it a chance' I seriously, no fooling, gave this game a chance, as I've said, 5 or 6 times. If I'm stupid for not wanting to play the game for 3 days to learn the basics, and even when you know how to play it's very boring - then I must be completely retarded. I'm just going to stop listening to everyone who says I need to give it another chance, because I've given up on this crap-factory of a game.

The game sucks, ok?

The Witcher Demo - 9/10...
I can't believe I shrugged this game off last year, the combat is fun and manages to keep you on your toes and the story seems very interesting, not your typical hero saves the world story.

I'm definitely buying the Enhanced Edition.

Star wars the force unleashed demo 5/10

I didn't like it really. It's a button masher basically.
The camera is quite annoying.
Lock on is rubbish.
The force grip is terrible and I mean terrible.
Very easy as well.

Also I think there's something suspect about the coding in this. The tutorial told me to push blocks into enemies but I just floated it about into them and it still said I did it right o_O

SW:TFU Demo - 5/10

Basically as above, except it gets really cheap on the next difficulty up. Force grip isn't all that bad once you're used to it.

Bionic Commando Rearmed - 6/10

Why does everyone like this so much? Nostalgia? Frustrating as hell and completely archaic.

Bionic Commando Re-armed - 8/10

Old school platforming with jazzed up 3d hotness!

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
I'm only on Act 2 but it's an eight out of ten so far. I really like the camo and combat system, but my God Hideo Kojima is about as subtle as a brick.

Stalker- 8/10

I really like the beginning parts, but inside the NPP got stale.

Evil Genius - 8.5/10

I love the opening cutscene, hilarious

Graphics reminds me of TF2, and it's just plain fun to play the bad guy for once. I got to check out Dungeon Keeper (pretty much the same thing I hear, except you maintain a dungeon instead of an evil lair, and kill warriors/adventurers instead of spies). And you guys got to check out this game! :D

EDIT: Couldn't find a video of the intro on YouTube, so I made one myself and put it up there.

Sorry for the sound (gets distorted when it gets loud), I don't know why it did that - FRAPS is gay, I guess.

yeah yeah

Hexen 2- so. If I try to play it in a resolution above 500x300something then I get a huge black dot where my cursor should be. Barring that, the game is somewhat fun. The golems are crap though, they have an attack you can barely dodge, and all the items and crap you can pick up, you basically have to figure out what they are for yourself. I still haven't discovered what teh bits of armor do, how to use them, or even why I sometimes level up. I don't see an experience meter anywhere. 6/10

Played da hell out of Warhammer Online for the preview weekend this weekend... all it needs is some animation + UI polishing and we have ourselves a winner I think!

I put in probably over 15 hours in 3 days, got to rank 12/renown rank 11 on a Black Orc (tank class), and it stayed fun the entire time. And that's just newbie stuff + no one committing to guilds because it's a beta!

Here's to hoping open beta/retail will have a fresh coat of paint.

Zack and Wiki: 9/10

Very inventive. I have a knack for Japanese based games.

Guitar Hero 3: 7/10

Great fun with friends. Especially if your drunk. :p

The playlist wasn't that spectacular though. Friends I stayed with this weekend says Rockband has a better playlist.

Oh nigga PLEASE. Multilayer on it is fun, nothing new though, 9/10? What evs.

A game doesn't have to be "new" to be incredibly polished and lots of fun. I bitch about the lack of new game mechanics in mainstream games all the time, and even I think COD4 deserves a 9/10.

Don't get me wrong, it's fun, there is something about it that keeps you addicted even though it does absolutely nothing new at all (every time I go to my friends we play it for hours and hours), but it's far from a 9/10. Maybe 7.5 or 8 out of 10.

And I'm sure you see all of Valves games to deserve a 10 even with a thousand 5 year olds, lack of updates, and almost no re-playability
