what.

):<

But... :D if so.

:D

Last film I watched was Brazil. I thought - for reasons unknown - I'd put it on whilst revising. Hah! Revision my foot. Ended up glued to the screen as usual with this fantastic film. 10/10. 11 for De Niro as the SAS plumber. No, 12!

Just watched Bowling for Columbine on IFC.

8/10.

Moore is quite the biased bully, but man his movies are entertaining.

Aqua Teen Movie - 3/10

It's an achievement in that it actually manages to be stupider than the series while retaining none of the laughs (well, maybe one or two).

The Hunchback of Notre Dame disney movie extraveganzaaa- like, an 8 out of ten or something

really awesome, the songs are NOT cheesy and embarrasing, which is awesome, there was only one awkward line in the whole movie ("achilles, heel". urgh) plus frollo is just a badass.

The King of Kong - 9/10

Billy Mitchell is a pussy asshole.

Indiana Jones and the Kindgom of the Crystal Skull: 10/10

Gentlemen! Hear me! Being the son of a Los Angeles entertainment reporter, I had the glorious honor of seeing an advance screening of Indy 4.

It is glorious. It is the best film I have seen all year. I will go so far as to declare it the equal of Raiders of the Last Ark. Yes, gentlemen, you heard me right! 'Heresy' you cry, but nay, I say! It is its equal!

Truly, every single frame of film is utterly magnificent. See it Thursday.

I'm jealous, and surely you jest?
Equal to Raiders?!

Wild Hogs - 6/10...
Bleh, dumb... every star in it was obviously desperate for a job.
There were a few parts that were funny though.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer 4/10 - Saw this on HBO recently thinking it would be interesting. Turns out I was wrong, besides the whole thing being a bit too unrealistic, I found a bunch of just plain stupid stuff in the plot. The beginning was OK, but the longer I watched the movie the worse it got. Also, the main character was probably the least-likable main character EVER. I thought the director should at least try to make the audience like or sympathise with the main character even if he is a bad guy. For example in Hannibal, Hannibal Lecter's intelligence made me at least respect the character, the same gous for Anton Chigurh (sp?) in No COuntry For Old Men, both characters are psychos, but at least they have a likeable trait, like intelligence or cunning, which made them more likeable for the audience. The movie didn't even explore the main character, instead just trying to convince the audience how emotional and tormented he was because of his obsession with smells. boohoo. Really annoying main character. Also wtf at the ending? Overall not a very enjoyable experience.

Tremors - 9/10. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Its a very good time to be had by all.
Snatch - 8.5/10. Yo Mucho Quiero. The ending was money although you couldn't understand a damn thing Micky was saying.

Hitman wasn't too bad. Not exactly "good" but not terrible.

3:10 to Yuma was pretty decent.

We Own the Night had some pretty terrible dialogue but I liked the movie as a whole.

Speed Racer was good, it was pretty long, though.

Aqua Teen Movie - 3/10

It's an achievement in that it actually manages to be stupider than the series while retaining none of the laughs (well, maybe one or two).

Theres A reason they keep the episodes roughly at 11 minutes

Equal to Raiders?!

Or at the very least approaching equal. Everything about it rocked, the action, the dialogue, the setting, the characters. The villainess seems to have stepped out of the Red Alert universe with her rant about how mass mind control is the only way for the Soviet Union to crush its enemies.

I loved every second of it...and for those of you who hate Shia LeBouf (sp?), I think you will very much like the ending...I will say no more ;)

I'm gonna trust Thunderclap on this one. I mean, he reviewed the ****ing Bratz movie. It doesn't get much more credible than that. :D

Futurama Benders Big Score-
6/10

I didnt like it that much
still a great excuse to watch futurama

The Dark Knight 7/10

Kinda meh tbh. Heath Ledger was good.

It's drugs isn't it? They were all on drugs? Am I on drugs? Where are the drugs?
You may be on drugs, but the WWoO was about Populism if you think about it.

Scarecrow-Farmers
Tinman-Industrial Workers
Lion-William Jennings Bryan
Dorothy-The American People
Wicked witch of the West-Drought
the Wizard- William McKinley
Yellow Brick Road-Gold Standard
Ruby Slippers(originally silver in the book)-Silver Standard
Toto-Prohibition Movement
Emerald City-Washington D.C.

According to the Bartlet book of anecdotes, the original story was sketched out by Frank as a bedtime story for his kids (maybe nephews or grandkids or something). The name Oz came from an encyclopedia that was nearby labeled O to Z.

The Man From Earth - 10/10

Beautiful movie.

I just watched it based on your post.

7/10

I must say that I was really enjoying the movie, wondering where it could have gone, but then it sort of took a turn that I feel ruined the movie. I feel the entire intent and purposes of the movie from that point on, where simply to lampoon Christianity even though it had chances to accomplish so much more than just a ridicule and focus of one particular religion.

I also found the plot to be a bit silly, how this guy was in so many places at the right time, with important and extremely famous figures in history like Columbus and Van Gogh and Buddha, etc. I feel it could have found a way to gather more credibility to the story than taking such a hackneyed approach.

Publicity through filesharing

In what may be an unprecedented move, the producer of this film, Eric D. Wilkinson, has publicly thanked users of BitTorrent who have distributed the movie without express permission, saying that it has lifted the profile of this product far beyond the financier's expectations.[4] Producers Schenkman (sellingrs), Bixby (Emerson_Bixby) and Wilkinson (EWilkinson100) have all written comments on IMDb forums and responded to questions from fans.[citation needed]

LAWL nice. I don't feel so bad now. Haha.

Into the Wild 7/10
I slept through the last half of it the first time I tried watching it. Watched the whole thing tonight though. I just couldn't get over how unlikable the main character was. I thought that he would mature a bit by the end, but I found him self righteous and stubbornly stupid the whole way. For all his talk of independence, he was basically parasitically dependent on others the whole way, and he failed hard when he tried to go it alone.

Sounds like someone who was just trying to connect the two things together after he saw some incredibly lose connections between the two.

Seriously think about the time period/location when the BOOK was written/published. The movie has a few changes to make it more like a kids film/fairy tale.
Dan-I wouldn't doubt that the name Oz came from a labeling cabinet, but think about this-Oz is the abbreviation for Ounce, and the ounce is used to weigh/measure gold.

Jesus, I can't even tell if you're being serious or not with the "gold" connection.

Death Sentence - 7.2/10...

Awesome action sequences, ****ed up opening, and entirely cliched.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Worththewait/10

This film blew me away, as always with Indiana Jones films. STory was a bit...'thats far too over the top', dont know what Lucas was thinking but regardless, its still Indy.

The second that music starts to the second the film finishes, youll be sat grinning like a prat.

Dont miss this guys, easily as good as Raiders of the Lost Ark.
