World of Whorecraft (episodes 1-6) - 4/10

So underwelming. I was expecting more nelfs; at least more than just humans with one random orc and one blood elf. :(

Batman Begins- 7.7/10

Pretty good, but now I get what people are saying about the fights being not filmed well. Also there seemed to be a lot of crap just... thrown in. And I know it's not the case, but just things like the scare-o-vision, or the gadgets, just sort of... I don't know. But it's weird.

I also wish there had been some kind of outside shot of Arkham.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (original) - 8/10

I love oldies. :D

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (Korean semi-remake/parody) - 9/10

Omfg so ****ing funny, although it dropped off at the end.

Sorry for the triple post, but I just saw Starship Troopers 3, and I see it hasn't been rated yet, so I'll do it. Oh, and I have not seen #2, nor do I plan to.

Starship Troopers 3 - 9/10

Where the hell did you get it? It doesn't release until like August 5th over here.

Batman Begins - 6.6/10

Dull, dry and blurred fight sequences. I would've liked to have seen more of the caped crusader. Acting was on par and the storyline flowed. It was never boring enough to dislike, though never interesting enough to be engaging. Wildly overrated.

My hopes aren't shattered for TDK, but it does lower my expectations reasonably.

Batman Begins - 9/10

Incredible, extremely pumped for my viewing of the Dark Knight this week.

My only real problem with Begins is how claustrophobic it is. I hate how confined Gotham feels, and how everything is so close and narrow. Not just the fight scenes, but the film as a whole. It's so small. And I hated the Narrows; they were so dreadfully cyberpunkish.

Well, I went to some certain 'sites', and browsed around and found it by complete accident, and I didn't know if it was released yet either, I was sure it wasn't, but hey. I 'got' the movie, and it's really good.

I just watched ST3 on certain sites, too. It had me grinning throughout, the Federation PSA's were just as funny as before and the action was as you'd expect - bugs ripping apart men. Miles better than 2, but doesn't even come close to 1. 6/10.

So today was like batman day for me today because uhh...

Batman Begins - 7/10
It was ok.
The Dark Knight - 10/10
Awesome.

Starship Troopers 3 - 5/10...
Definitely better than 2 but it's still a shitty film.
The guns are what bothered me the most, they're ****ing HUGE.
I mean, they're as big as a human being... and they're supposed to be standard infantry weapons?

The news things were pretty funny and of course over the top which was awesome.
The effects were a very mixed bag, some CGI was decent but most of it was terrible.
The acting was okay, standard b-movie fair.
It delivered as an action movie for the most part even though half the time you couldn't even tell if any bullets even hitting any of the bugs, due to crappy props and CGI.
Speaking of bugs, the new bugs they introduced have very interesting ideas and I would love to them done with Paul Verhoeven's special effects team from SST1.
One more thing, why the hell would they name the movie Marauder and only show them for like the last 5 minutes of the movie? :|
Then they for some reason decided to make the last 20/30 minutes all about religion which almost made me turn it off.

One more thing, why the hell would they name the movie Marauder and only show them for like the last 5 minutes of the movie? :|
Overall, it was still pretty shit and everything was pretty random, not nearly enough gore either.
I guess if you're a huge SST fan, it's worth a look.

Hell Boy - 10/10. I thought it was really good, a brilliant piece of work by Guillermo Del Toro! I especially loved the clock-work guy with the mask; he was awesome! The only actors/actresses I recognised were John Hurt and Selma Blair.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. 9/10

One of my favorite animated movies. Very sophisticated and dark story.

Forgot to mention the huge-ass guns. I also hated the religion shit.

Not really a movie but...

Generation Kill Episodes 1&2: 8/10
It's a new mini series on HBO, and it's rather good.

Charlie Wilson's War - fast/witty/insightful/kickass/10

Harold and Kumar escape from guantanamo - 7/10
It kind of combines all different kinds of sketches that have been done to death in the last couple of years
about the subjects in the film, but it's still funny and entertained me.

Aeon Flux - 6/10
This should be the movie that received unwarranted praise and not that Gun Kata crap with Bale.
Anyway somewhat better then I expected.

Apocalyptico - good/10
I don't agree with the point Gibson is trying to make, but he tells one hell of a story.
It kept me on edge, it made me emotional, it just kept my attention and rewarded it,
it simply worked as a movie.

Wall-E
I want to give this film nine out of ten, but there are too many things that bugged me about it to justify it.
8.9/10
Great other than a few things that I really didn't like about it.
Why does a spark between Eve and Wall-E restore the personality and memories of the old circuit onto the new one? I know seeing as it's Disney they needed their happy ending but I think just leaving him with his memory gone would have been better.

The Dark Knight is really awesome and absolutely deserves a 10.

I really want to see it again, I've already seen it 2 times. One at an IMAX(AWESOME!!!!) and one at a regular theater(STILL AWESOME!!!!).
It probably won't come on DVD until like December or January. D:

The Happening - killerplants/10...

Yes, it really is as bad as they say.

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker . 9/10

I think I like Phantasm a bit better, but they are very very close to each other in terms of quality. Mark Hamill gives an absolutely chilling performance as The Joker.

Indeed he is. Joker's murder of Bonk is hilarious and disturbing at the same time.

The Dark Knight (second viewing): 9.4/10
I detracted 0.5 from my previous rating because it does kinda drag in a few parts.

21: 8/10

Cool premise and stuff, but found parts rather phony and unbelievable, would have liked more technical explanations of what they were doing, very anticlimactic ending, though there was some really good and unique music in the movie.

did you catch the Amon Tobin track in there?

Have you no heart?

You wanted it to end like that? :frown:

The Professional - 7/10

Eh, s'ok. Not enough hitman stuff. Also, Natalie Portman's in it, which is usually a plus except she's like twelve. Which is just... confusing. :(

Rambo 4 - 8/10

Basic, average plot but from an action viewpoint this was awsome, and very violent lol.

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay - 7/10...

Funny, first one was funnier.

Batman (1989) 6/10

jack nicholson was pretty good, but the rest was crap.

AVP 2: 2/10
I was forced to watch this. Horrible.

Zeitgeist: 8/10
I finally watched this after putting it off for so long. While I don't agree with everything said, all of it was very thought provoking which is what a documentary should do.

Everything about Zeitgeist is utter shit. Not only every argument put forth but the actual craft behind the film is terrible as well.

Starship troops 3

There are movies that pretend to be deeper and smarter then they are, this one does the opposite, and works and it's hilarious.

The Dark Knight - 8.0/10

Too long by about a half-hour. The Dent/Two-Face plot could easily have been the beginning of the third film, and it basically drags to a halt the most amazing, screen-destroying performance in years - Ledger's Joker. Good overall, but overrated.

PS: Someone get the Batman a lozenge.
