Iron Man 8.5/10

Was pleasently suprised by this, although the end battle could have ended a bit more spectaculary, the CGI was spot on and there was a few light hearted moments.

Not as good as The Dark Knight though.

The Parole Officer - 8/10

Had some hilarious moments.

28 Days Later - 10/10

Re-watch confirms how fantastic this film is.

Catch Me If You Can - 10/10

A delightful watch, very witty and inteligent and perfect performances from Hanks and De Caprio.

Shaun of the Dead - 10/10. Come on, it's Simon Pegg, how can it possibly be bad??!!!!

Very easily.
Hot Fuzz for instance, maybe it was too british but I didn't find it funny at all.

Weeds - Season 3 - 9/10...

I love this show, too bad I'm too far behind on Season 4 to even be able to watch it. ;(

Well, that's the thing with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, thet have that British humour that anyone other than Brits would probably get.

Yeah I have yet to find a fellow brit who didnt find both hilarious.

The Kite Runner: 8/10
Having only read the first few chapters of the book, I'm pretty much in the dark when it came to this movie. Good thing I gave it a chance.

ghost in the shell stand alone complex solid state society 8/10 - pretty cool stuff not as good as the series and kinda confusing at the end but still very enjoyable

ghost in the shell 2 innocence 8/10 - loses momentum at the start and the whole vr thing in the middle of the film totally threw me at first but the ending was really good and made up for those shortcomings

equilibrium 5/10 - what the hell?! Critics hate this film but the average public loves it as far as I know. Yes it has a pretty good concept and the fights are cool BUT bale is so overpowered that each fight lasts about 10 seconds. The ****ing second last fight is less than 5 seconds literally!

And I found myself in stitches at how stupid the guards are especially the fight in the factory when bale tells the rebels to run and takes like 10 seconds after bale pulls his guns out to ralise he's a sense offender. Lastly the whole no feeling thing is self contradictory as at points it's clear that people are feeling senses of ambition or anger etcetera.

Also I hate bale's son. He's annoying and one big plot hole.

His sudden change in behaviour is a plot hole in my mind considering he has no reason to change sides.

It was total win.
No denying it.

Also, of course Bale's character was overpowered... he was a cleric, he had been trained to kill as efficiently as possible... so that's what he does when he rebels.

Also, anyone who was feeling probably hadn't taken their dosage just yet since alot of stuff was going on.

Nearly everyone on this forum liked the movie.

fair enough it's my opinion but it still doesn't mean that the fights even against other clerics are anticlimactic as hell

EDIT: Code geass r2 22

I LOVE THIS SHOW!! I don't know how the writers can keep the plot twists being so consistently shocking each week!! :D

No Country for Old Men - 4/10

+4 for cool action scenes.

-6 for the rest of the shit you guys call something that is supposedly supposed to be a film.

What in the **** is this shit? Honestly. Like I said the action scenes were cool, but everything else is just ****ing stupid. Why does silenced shotgun man always do everything so slow, it's like he's retarded? And why does everyone act like they know everything. And why do all the bad guys actually know everything, like that guy who visited that one guy in the hospital, he just somehow knew to go to the bridge to look? What the ****? Stupid god damn ending, too.

Honestly if a movies hype contributed somehow to it's shittiness factor, this movie is the ultimate piece of shit. As for looking at it as a movie it's boring, stale, cliche, with some cool actions scenes. It sucks.

Everyone who disagrees can **** right off, because your giving the movie praise because it won awards and people for some reason think it's the god movie of movies, not because of the actual movie, I have a feeling people think they need to rate it good because they're supposed to or something.

Just admit it, it's shit.

EDIT: Oh yea, and it's REALLY ****ing retardedly stupid that
The main guy, the ONE GUY YOU WANT NOT DO DIE, dies 2/3 through the movie.

I am the exact opposite of that, but I greatly enjoyed the movie. If you can't appreciate the slowness of the movie, you're just different.

I'm not saying it's shit because it's slow, but most of the time when they're talking, they just give that sense like they know everything, and they are all super smart like your classic action movie hero, and like 50% of the time they are just talking about random stupid crap..

It's hard to explain, I'll give an example: When the shotgun guy asks the store owner to pick a side of the coin, he wins and the guy is all 'don't put that coin in your pocket, put it anywhere but your pocket, or else.. It's just another coin'.

WHAT THE **** IS HE TALKING ABOUT?

I'm still pissed off by that ending, too.

Batman The Dark Knight: 9/10

Took me forever to see it, but it was good. Good performances all around, but Heath Ledger's dwarfed them all.

Lrn to math. You just gave it -2/10.
Also.

Don't put it in your pocket. It's your lucky quarter.

It's the coin that saved his life...

Dog--'s inability to comprehend meaning beyond the obvious is hilarious. No Country for Old Men is a great cinematic experience.

Sorry I don't agree with all you artsy-goatee-having-modern-art-loving-'quite intriguing'-types. When I watch a movie I tend to want to be entertained, not sit there and ponder the meaning of the ****ing dialogue, shit. If I wanted that I'd read a god damn book.

Also Kinetic - I mean I gave it a 4 because the action, and it lost the rest of the score (6) because it was gay. The + and - kind of didn't apply... eh, whatever the movie sucked either way. I wouldn't mind if you changed it to -2.

And what do you mean hilarious - as in stupid, or as in good jokes :D

One of dog's qualities is that he has worse taste than cavalry. One of his other qualities is that he's extremely vocal about it.

You don't have to agree with us Dog--, but it might help if you didn't bust in here insulting us.

Yeah Dog-- your posts don't indicate that you disliked No Country because of personal taste, they indicate that it was because you just failed to understand a lot of it. All the dialogue is pretty genius, everything the old sheriff rambles about in the movie is relevant, he figures everything out. Try reading the wiki synopsis and then watching it again, you'll probably understand it a lot more and appreciate it more as a result :p

It didn't quite get the hype either but I read into it more and things made a bit more sense.
I give it a 8/10... not as great as everyone says, not something I'd rewatch over and over.

Cube 2 : Hypercube - 2/10...
Was bored and nothing else was on... but I heard decent things about the Cube movies.
Unfortunately, I thought it was garbage.

A Scanner Darkly wut D: / 10.

Okay, 8 really. I liked it a lot, although I think I need to watch it again.

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind - 9/10, likewise. I laughed like a ****ing drain the whole way through.

There were a lot of good films on tonight - I had to miss Blue Velvet for this, not to mention Risky Business.
