Tropic Thunder

Holy shit, this movie is great. It's right up there with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
Wow, that was a delight. Movie of the year TBH even though I haven't seen TDK yet.
 
quantum of solace 8/10

I really enjoyed it but it does feel like unlike casino royale there is not as much emotion or as much depth to the story and characters, it feels like a lot of skirmishes put together. CR showed the emotional development of bond and his involvement in something bigger we didn't know about. Now bond just seems to have stopped one of their schemes no big loss to them really.

Although I really liked the ending and damn
mr white got away again *shakes fist*

Still really enjoyable and good action.

PS: the theme song sucks this time round.
 
Dead Set feature length remix - 8/10
Bloody, vicious, and very hilarious. All the characters are wonderful, even though half of them are twats. It also has the best villain ever. Also cutting satire.

No Man's Land - 9/10
Two men, one a Bosnian Serb, the other a Muslim, get stuck in a trench, and are both wounded. A grim, funny multilingual parable.

Creep - 6/10
Cool concept, but doesn't quite bear it out; all the characters really are creeps while the terror, when it's ultimately revealed, is kind of goofy, although spooky moments do emerge (notably the clinic scene where he 'washes' his hands). One of those horror films where the writers run out of ideas halfway through and all the protagonists begin taking really stupid decisions.

Goldeneye - 9/10
Still my favourite Bond film. Quippy dialogue, soviet grime, invincible Sean Bean.

I have watched so many movies this weekend.

Requiem For A Dream: 9.5/10
Horrifying. Every viewing gets better, and I'm always literally shaking by the end.

The Omen (original): 6.5/10
Meh, it was alright. Maybe I wasn't into the story enough to appreciate it; I feel like the story was just there to string together the deaths.

The Shining: 8.5/10
One of the best horror films ever made.

About A Boy: 9/10
Charming, funny, clever, heartwarming; very very good picture.

Terminator 2: 9/10
For me, the best action movie ever made, and not just for the action. The action sequences are intense, but the story and characters are what make it so good.

The Birds: 8/10
Hmm, I don't know what to say about this movie. It was just really well shot, well acted and very tense.
 
Matilda: 7/10

Better than the second in every conceivable way. The two cops, Reese, Arnie, and that immortal tune.

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay

Dick jokes, completely pointless nudity, racial stereotypes, excessive swearing, glorification of drugs.

So, pretty fucking awesome really.

9/10 as far as stoner movies go.
 
Terminator 1 was quite good, if I recall correctly. I don't know about better than the second, but eh, I think it's a valid opinion.

I agree, though i'd give it a 9/10, I've been watching it all together on my DVD that came today, Patrick is the ****ing man!

Agreed. It's obviously much better. A good Terminator goes back in time to become best friends with a little kid and go on an adventure XD

Good movie, but I don't know why I was laughing throughout the whole thing. Every death was HILARIOUS, and I lol'd irl at the ending, what a dumbass.
 
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - 7/10

Quite enjoyable, but the plot is a bit messy.

Bring It On In It To Win It - 9/10. I actually like these cheerleading films and I own 3 out of 4 of the Bring It On films.

Booooooooooooooooring, there's almost no talking at all for the first 20 ****ing minutes.
 
Get Smart: 9/10

Somehow, it was even funnier the second time through. Glad I bought this over Gladiator (again).

Sunshine - 7/10 - It was ok. I'd actually go out and say that the last third was actually very good and lent some nice twists to the formulaic nature of what had preceded it.
