Apocalypse Now 9.5/10 - it was an AMAZING movie but very long as well. atmosphere is mind blowing.
Fight Club 10/10 - very influential, has some good (but somewhat cruel) philosophies. great story.
Happiness 9/10 - disturbing and extremely sincere.
American Psycho 9/10 - the ending didn't really click for me, but the movie has great style.

Sweeney Todd : the Demon Barber of Fleet Street - 9/10

Madagascar 2 - 9/10 I F***ing love those penguins.

Quantum of Solace - 5/10
Decent as an action flick, but terrible as a Bond movie.

Apocalypse Now - 9/10

Brilliantly made film, the whole film is cast in uncertainty of where he is going and what he will find, very sinister and awesome ending. Not the best Vietnam film but a really good watch.

Ichi the Killer is a great movie. Takihara = best character ever.

Dexter Season 1 - 8/10
Dexter Season 2 - 7/10

The Mist - 9/10. Brilliant movie , quite close to the book from what I see ( I have only filcked through the book , need to sit down and read it one day). The ending was epic. I can definatly see why Valve stated this as an inspiration (the book at least).

Armageddon - 6/10

Went in knowing it was a Micheal Bay film, so largely expected a mass load of explosions, raped CGI, pullyoureyesoutwithrustyfork romance, a facepalming display of american patriotism and so many characters actions and words throughout that made no sense whatsoever.

Yep, thats pretty much what we got here. Only got 6 because Steve Buscemi was hilarious in it.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 9/10

I actually really enjoyed this, I have actually found all the films enjoyable but this has been the best for me so far.

Despite a MAJOR plot hole that really irritated me:
Those flying things they used to get back to London, the Irish girl clearly states that only those who have witnessed death can see them, not to mention this is strengthened by the fact that neither of the others can see them when harry first comes into contact with them at the start, someone clearly says,'there is nothing there, the carriage is pulling itself as always'.

What's your point? If I recall, they never implied otherwise in the movie?

They can't see them. In the book, Harry helps them on and they hold on to something they can't see, shitting themselves all the way to London.

Finding Nemo - 10/10. How could you possibly fault it?! It remains funny no matter how mant times you watch it!

TDK

Loved the dialog, loved the joker, loved the cleverness, love that the movie got the praise it deserved.

The Dark Knight - 9.5/10

My second proper viewing (first being the cinema) and the film is better the second time round, deserves all the success it received.

The Incredible Hulk - 9/10

Good ol' Norton. Thoroughly enjoyed it, the ending fight was epic. But now I need to see Ironman.

Doomsday - 5/10

Big budget action movie, shit storyline, gore, lots of ****ing gore. Lets see, people's head getting blown of with shotguns, baby having its eye shot at, beheading, stabbing, burning a human and eating him, axing, swords, rabbit getting blown up by an automated turret, lots of suicide

just wow. The scenes on the other hand, were really well shot though, so it gets a five.

True Romance - 8.5/10

The Walken vs Hopper scene was brilliant.

10,000 BC - 3/10

One of those movies that I wouldn't ever have watched if my friends hadn't come to my room having already rented it....

I didn't expect much from the storyline, so I won't comment on that. But this movie had way too many ridiculous anachronisms. Just a few...

(1) Horses have already been domesticated.
(2) They fight against a bunch of Archaeopteryx... which was around in the age of the dinosaurs.
(3) They got kernels of maize from the Egyptians.... even though maize wasn't ever brought to Europe until after it was discovered in America.
(4) They follow the North Star, which seems to be Polaris. Due to precession of the Earth's axis every 26000 years, the north pole wouldn't be pointing at Polaris in 10,000 BC. I can let this one slide though, since they didn't explicitly say their north star was Polaris and not a different star.
(5) The pyramids were already being built in 10,000 BC.
(6) The Egyptians used wooly mammoths to build the Great Pyramids.

Ugh, this movie is so retarded.

Pixar Shorts

Knick Knack, Lifted & Presto are incredibly funny, everyone should see them.
Burn-E, Jack Jack Attack & Mater also stand out, and are pretty good.
The rest are just nice.

Titanic - 10/10

Its amazing how guys will do anything for ***sy.

Damn it, it was her idea I tell you! She might aswell have just asked me in for coffee therby saving me 3 ***king hours of what I can only boil down to be some kind of foreplay.

Titianic is a great movie. I have no idea why people would think it's bad.

The death of hundreds of people boiled down to a love story between a poor irish guy and a rich english girl...

Titanic wasn't exactly my type of movie, the romance killed it for me, Hollywood really. Very similar to Pearl Harbor the movie, a movie about history but a love story thrown in. As a kid I watched it because my friends in elementary school told me to see it when it first came out.

10/10 Naked Gun - So ****ing stupid, its hillarious. Damn do I love Leslie Nelson.

Agreed. I think this is what Scary/Epic/Date/Superhero/Bullshit Movie keeps trying for but failing ridiculously.

Airplane's good too.

Avatar: The Last Airbender (the whole thing) - 8/10

Really great, for a kid's show. Much better than I was expecting, especially towards the end, but you can't really shake the feeling that it'd have been a bit better if they didn't have to tippy-toe around adult themes and violence so often. Still, for what it was, they did a pretty admirable job.

Oh, but did it have to be so freakin sappy? Seemed like they couldn't go 10 minutes in season 3 without someone crying or hugging (usually both).

The Titanic Effect: The deaths of a hundred strangers can never be as devestating to you as the death of two people you know personally.

Let the Right One in - 9/10

I finally got to see this after waiting for some time (so annoying how american theaters take forever to show foreign films, if they even ever do). But anyway, I'm not a huge vampire fan, but I really enjoyed this movie. A well done, intelligent and dramatic story; and a very refreshing change from the normal hollywood crap that prevades the cinema these days.

I'll admit I was very slow in getting part of the movie. It wasn't until the very end that I went "Oh, I get it" concerning the old man in the beginning.
