An Evening With Kevin Smith 8/10

Could listen to him talk for hours.

Babylon A.D - 5/10

What the hell is with the virus and that girl, they didn't even bring it up.

I read "Babylon 4 - 5/10" and was about to kick your ass.

Then I just lol'd cause A.D. is a horrid movie.

MAX PAYNE 7/10

Was alright, nowhere near as bad as everyone on here made out, although Bravura should have been as in the game and B.B. needed to be younger.

Across the Universe - 8/10

Great movie, the way they tied together the songs was just brilliant. "Jude's" voice annoyed me a bit, and it was a bit too long, otherwise really good.

The Aviator - 9/10

Great story, superb acting from Di Caprio as usual.

Vantage Point - 6.5/10

I hated the way they repeated the same scene 10 times, but in the perspective of another person each time. That felt all wrong.

The Dark Knight - 9/10

Only the second time I saw it, ****ing brilliant.

The Deer Hunter - 8/10

Good movie, but somewhat slow start.

An evening with kevin smith 1 & 2:****in brilliant. 9/10 for each, kevin smith is way funnier in person. Any self respecting clerks fan has to check them out.

Checked out the first disc of the second one out of curiosity. Pretty funny, mostly on account of the banter with the audience. Hide behind a rock. :D

Not a huge Smith fan, but I might just have to track them down...

Good Luck Chuck - 7/10

Pretty funny, not Dane Cook's best.

Transporter 3 - 7/10 fun movie wosrt transporter.

Transporter 3 - 7/10 fun movie wosrt transporter.

It felt like a watered down copy/paste of the first movie to me. The whole movie I was going like : wait it could still be awesome, it could still be awesome... And then it ended... and I was thinking: That's it? ... :|:dozey::frown: Bleh

I just didn't enjoy it... 5/10

Step Brothers 8/10

F***ing brilliant.

And Derrick's family's rendition of Sweet Child O' Mine made me want to kill myself.

Going to see the Dark Knight again in two days' time =D

Waltz with bashir. 9/10

i liked this, but the friend i watched it with kept bitching about how
the animation was annoying.

Firefly Complete Series - 10/10 - Rewatched it again. Awesome. God damn you Fox. :frown:

Every time I think of Firefly my Fox Loathing causes my building to shake.
I try to pass it off and blame it on the subway, but I'm not sure how much longer people will believe that.

Pan's Labyrinth - 7/10
Interesting, dark, some amazing cinematography, but it made no real impression on me. It seemed lightweight, and it seemed del Toro wasn't capable of maturely dealing with a subject like Spanish Civil War, which I'm sure he is.

Bourne Ultimatum - 7/10
Good action, but seemed similarly lightweight. A good conclusion to the trilogy for sure. Basically I am taking off points for Damon's nose.

Dark Days - 9/10.
One of the best documentaries I have seen. It's about homeless people who live in an Amtrak train tunnel in New York. Beautifully filmed, all in black and white, ridiculously emotionally powerful, and with a soundtrack by DJ Shadow. The perfect use for Endtroducing. The only beef I had with it was that it suffered, as some documentaries do, from having a camera there, influencing the events.

Planet Terror - 9/10.
Sublime, ridiculous, awesome. I really want to see both Grindhouse films together, now.

V for Vendetta - 8/10
Lovely, reasonably intelligent, and better because I recently read the graphic novel. Made better/worse by what was going on in my room while watching it.

Stephen Fry giving you a good rogering?

the X-Files movie
The X-files didn't survive the end of the 90's. Fun to see mulder & scully back in action, but it's barely passable as a film. It feels more like a drawn out, aged episode not worthy for the original show.
3/10

Quantum of Solace
I liked this better than Casino Royale in many aspects. It has a bit of a return to the 60's vibe, mainly due to the locales and the less extreme post-color management, which I really enjoyed. The story itself becomes abit chaotic as Bond jumps between countries, but it's a good feast for the eyes.
Action scenes are brilliantly well made, although a tad -too- quick cut at times.
It's much darker than CR, which I felt made Bond more believable as a character.
7/10

Det Sjunde Inseglet/The Seventh Seal
I've always heard of this film being a classic, by Ingmar Bergman and all, so I finally decided to watch it. It's just brilliant... It's a masterpiece.
It takes you on a journey through tragedy and comedy like Shakespeare or the classic greek theatre.
The idea of playing chess with Death is one of the strongest cinematographic icons I've ever seen.
10/10

Batman Begins 8/10

as a reboot it works fairly well ..although not sure how well suited christian bale is to the role ..he's a little short, not all that imposing and theres something not quite right about Bale in the batman suit ..his jaw structure is off or something. He's a great actor but perhaps a little too meanacing or unsettling to be batman (he will always be Patrick Bateman). All in all it was a good movie that more than surpassed any of the previous movies ..although I still have a spot in my heart for nicholson's the Joker which was the only saving grace in the first movie

You don't like the first movie, you don't like Celine Dion.
Why are you so hateful?

I liked the first movie, it's no casablanca but it was enjoyable ...and wtf why was it almost 3 hrs long?

and I dont dislike Celine Dion, I hope she eats glass and dies, there's a difference

Let the right one in.....10/10, foreign film from Norway, its beautiful
