Fido-6.5/10

Cute movie, Leave it to Beaver meets Night of The Living Dead. Though the film had much more potential.

Planet Terror - 9/10.
Sublime, ridiculous, awesome. I really want to see both Grindhouse films together, now.

Ah, didn't see it in theaters eh? I was so pissed that they didn't release them together. The way to see Grindhouse is with the two together and all those awesome joke horror movie trailers.

Was great fun seeing on the big screen.

It never came out in theatres here, I don't think. Death Proof maybe.
Also, I'd like to see the original short versions that they would have used for the double feature.

Did Planet Terror just come out here or something? I've only ever seen Death Proof in video stores, and I have no interest in seeing that.

I think the DVDs came out at the same time, but I saw Death Proof in stores way before I ever saw a copy of Planet Terror. Also, Death Proof is great, you should watch it. And also take me back, 'babe'.

Death Proof is only good in the last 20 minutes, otherwise it's boring bullshit.

Hard Candy: 2/10

...Seriously. I absolutely hated Ellen Page's character and sided with the pedophile the entire time.

The plot is ridiculous, Ellen's character is entirely unrealistic, the story is horrendous (I still believe he's innocent thus making his suicide at the end absolutely pointless), it oversimplifies so many things, the castration part was not in good taste, etc., etc.

**** this movie.

Yes.

Also

Kung Fu Panda - 10/10

...on drugs.

Wall-E - 10/10

Loved it. Absolutely amazing from start to finish. My new favourite Pixar film, if not CG altogether.

I'd have to agree on that, can't wait for xmas, getting it on blu-ray. :D

I loved the little noises he made, and the way he talks just has 'ohhh so cute' written all over it.

Bolt - 8/10

Typical animated film, quite funny in places. Nothing terribly special, but nothing bad about it either.

Oh and John Travolta is the main character...how is he still around these days

The Dark Knight - 10/10
I thought the Joker took the knife out of the guys mouth before the camera cuts away, but I didn't see it this time. Did they changed for DVD or am I just remembering incorrectly?

Let the right one in.....10/10, foreign film from Norway, its beautiful

swedish mother****er, do you speak it?

dead man's shoes - 10/10
it's a love or hate film. i found it's tragedy so enticing and fresh. felt less like watching a movie and more like watching a real chain of events. brilliant ending as well.

zack and miri make a porno - 6/10
very funny. a bit strained in times, some jokes feel out of place, whereas some are juust right. seth rogen is hilarious, the young stud is a genius character though (dutch rudder is ****ing genius lol). It's much more romantic than you'd expect.

Varg - 8/10
Beautiful film starring Peter Stormare about the north and the love of nature clashing against the laws of the country.
Story's pretty simple, he and his nephew takes care of a herd of reindeers, but when the deers get jumped by a wolf he retaliates and kills it. However, wolves are endangered in sweden and there's a serious penalty for killing one "unprovoked", so he goes to court facing jail. Very unique and fun.

Horton Hears A Who: 7/10
Pretty good. Acid puff ball makes the movie...

The Savages: 9/10
God I love Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Fred Claus - 8/10

Can't stand Vince Vaughn, but I liked this movie.

Hellboy 2 - 8/10

Got weak toward the end, but I loved every minute of Krauss.

Acid puff ball makes the movie...
In my world everyone is a rotting corpse being eaten or ****ed by wild animals.

Devils Rejects: 7/10 Probably one of the best movies in this genre that I have ever seen. Still not great.

Also why the **** did

that ugly brother kill himself by walking into the burning house? Hes in the movie for like 3 minutes total and nobody ever mentions him besides one time at the beginning, and then we're supposed to feel sorry for him at the end for some reason? It totally ruined that whole scene, because when he showed up I was like "Oh yeah, totally forgot this guy existed" then there was the goodbye scene and he walks into the fire and I am just like "... why are you showing me this?" Just stupid.

The Day The Earth Stood Still - 7/10

Better than I expected, still questionable and could have been better but I was thoroughly entertained.

The Happening - 3/10

This movie can be summed up in one phrase:

WHAT THE SHIT???

Into the Wild - 9/10 - Extremely well shot, well acted film. The messages are obviously in your face yet don't feel too preachy. Didn't feel too sorry for Supertramp in the end, rather the people he left in his reckless wake.

American History X
- 7/10 - Overrated. Very poorly paced and only one fleshed out character. Worth it for Norton's performance alone, though.

Requiem for a Dream - 9/10 - This movie was intense, but I didn't realise how much so until the end credits where I found myself shaking uncontrollably. Great acting, great editing and finally a movie that doesn't flinch at portraying anything.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind - 10/10
Just absolutely wonderful. As in, full of wonder. Come on, you've all seen it. That ****ing tone. Hell yeah. And it's great how the appearance of aliens forces all the adults to act like children, with Neary making mountains out of mashed potato and the government agents chasing a rolling globe around the mayor's office.

Seacoal - 7/10
Really sedate independent film from the northeast, almost a mood poem, with barely a narrative. Difficult accents chatter over the constant roar of the sea. Deals with ugly people in ugly places doing an ugly job, and is really very beautiful.

Went The Day Well? - 8/10
Undercover German soldiers invade a small english town. Poking holes in the narrative logic and the evil plan is almost as fun as the actual film, even if the action is a bit stiff.

Total Recall - 9/10
CONSIDER THAT A DIVORCE

Back to the Future Part III - 7/10
Doc Browne: the eyes have it.

I would give them all 10/10 because it's christmas, but that's not what criticism is about.

EDIT: Also, Sideways - 9/10
I s******ed throughout the whole movie, except the bits where I guffawed out loud, and also the bits where I went "oh. shit." Paul Giamatti's character is such an awful person D:

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly 11/10

"They are two kinds of people in the world, those with loaded guns, and those who dig."

^ That won't work. Gifs have to be 70x70 or 50x50 to be animated on here.

Pi: 6.5/10
Meh. I dunno. Even at 85 minutes, it seemed like it dragged a bit.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie: 6/10
Started strong and then lost steam. Sidenote: I cannot see how anyone who is unfamiliar with the series could enjoy this movie.

I forgot

Joan of Arc - 6/10
The battles were excellent and John Malkovich's king was a lot of fun, but Joan herself was a deeply unsympathetic presence who screamed hoarsely at everyone until they obeyed her retarded logic.

Almost Famous - 8.4/10
Great selection of music through the whole movie, Cameron Crowe really knows how to put a Soundtrack together (Vanilla Sky, ElizabethTown). Some of the dialogue could be better, but a great movie nonetheless. Also, Billy Crudup reminded me so much of George Harrison.

Step Brothers - 7.3/10
Will Ferrell always seemed to me to have a lot of potential, but usually makes average movies evolving around sports. This is a better step in the right direction, with some ridiculous hilarous scenes.

Zack and Miri.. - 7/10
Love Smith's Q&A's that he does, but his movies are usually nothing more than enjoyable at best. This was more Apatow then Smith, but still entertaining.

Solaris - 9/10
Soderbergh's version. So underrated, I don't see why people hate it. Probably my favorite sci-fi movie in the 21st century.

Milk - 10/10

To quote from my blog:
I have seen many movies that I have considered to be provocative, entertaining, awe-inspiring and fascinating, but when I saw Milk tonight, these words naturally occurred in my mind: Milk is important.

I loved every bit of it. Sean Penn did an amazing job playing Harvey, and it was so inspiring to see him lead the way for the gay rights movement in the mid to late 70s.
