Resident Evil Series general discussion

There doesn't have to be an Umbrella corp imo, but it'd be nice to see atleast a few 'traditional' zombies again in RE5, alongside puzzles, but this seems likely, afterall, the dev team is composed of alot of devs on the original RE1, and they've said they aim to strike a balance between RE4s gameplay and the 'traditional'.. Hopefully they'll succeed fairly well..:D
I can't wait for TGS!

I can't wait for TGS too... We RE fans will be quaking on our boots for RE5.

And what scares me most about the original and remake of RE1 is that the cutscene of the zombie devouring Kenneth's head(in original) and his throat (in remake).

And the location that scares me most is, Spencer's Mansion, it's just to same like your grandpappy or your family takes you to a fun fair's haunted house.

I'd say his death re-recorded on camera is more disturbing, something about it being in first person makes it that much worse for once...

Yeah, I agree... With the screamings and kickings from Kenneth, it brings chills to my spine too.

Yeah I'm pretty excited to see what they have come up with.

Thankfully, Resident evil 5 had cooked up a new breed of zombies and other undead creatures.

I hope this better be good.

Sorry for the double posting, anyway the post above can't be edited anymore.

Anyway, anyone has beaten Lisa Trevor already?

SPOILERS
You can't kill her, she's too mutated. She kills herself after finding her mother's skull

Are the zombies in RE5 the result of a combination of the T-Virus and La Plaga? Or is Capcom just gonna throw out the whole La Plaga business?

I'm not sure. I don't think they will throw the Las Plagas out, since Wesker is using it as his starting point for reviving Umbrella.

But he doesn't even have a real one, right?

Wesker didn't get the real Plagas sample. Ada Wong was working for another organization call "The Organization" which is Umbrella's rival organzation. Apparently she gave the real Plagas sample to them. Wesker was simply duped by Ada.

I don't think she is dead. Because due to the fact to you can't kill her, I think she is immortal by the virus already. So I think Lisa Trevor till now is still wondering in the Arklay Mountains. And I think that the mansion explosion isn't great enough to kill Lisa.

Lisa is dead, I'm sure of it - I'm pretty certain she isn't immortal.

But if you shoot her, she doesn't dies because she couldn't possibly be dead by now. I think she is still wandering in the ruins of the mansion.

Pretty sure Raccoon City and everything in the surrounding area was nuked so I don't think so.

Raccoon City was nuked... So does Rockfort Island which is also close to Raccoon City, it didn't nuked in RE3 but was nuked in Code Veronica.

Rockfort Island is goddamn nowhere near Racoon city. And yes, it is in South America, or close to. Racoon city was nuked, and Spencer mansion went with it - but the fact that Spencer mansion has already been blown up really doesn't bode well for Lisa.

Lisa has been destroyed. :p

Did every single T virus got blown up along with the Raccoon City? At the end of Resident Evil Outbreak, the scientists and a military finds something alive in the ruins of the city.

Although they never explained what it was, but it looked like a living microrganism that was still alive. Probably the virus got mutated by a radiation and survived or it's something else. I hope RE5 talks a bit more about this. The pack of scientists and the military were not part of Umbrella, but they mentioned something about "Our highest bidder would be very interested in this". I think the highest bidder is "The Organization".

I don't think Lisa is dead. Lisa would be wondering around from Arklay mountains to an unknown destination. And I think Lisa remembers Spencer who killed her mother Jessica and father George.

And conclusion, Lisa could be seeking revenge.

While that sounds nice and poetic and all, there's nothing that backs it up in the least. I'd call it wishful thinking. Surviving being shot at and falling great heights is one thing. Not being incinerated by a massive explosion, followed by a nuclear inferno, is another thing entirely.

And not to mention, Lisa was injected by a Progenitor Virus Type-B. So she can't possibly got killed by the explosion, after all, her aging has stopped and she can't grow old at all, and what's more, she can't die anymore.

Anyway, heres the REmake trailer,

You are reading far, far too much into this. She got nuked. Lisa = dead.

Don't be too sure. She got injected by progenitor virus, not T-Virus!

And for further proof that it is possible she is wondering around the Arklay mountains..

Because of her decades of mutation it is unknown whether or not the fall or the explosive demolition of the mansion killed her. It is possible she is still wandering the Arklay mountains.

It should be noted at this point that the internet is at least 75% porn. Would you trust it with your children?

Rockfort Island isn't fully destroyed either, when Alfred sets off the self-destruct it fails to fully detonate from what I remember, so the island is only partially destroyed..

But then Umbrella most likely destroyed the island to get rid of the evidence.

By the way, WTF happened to Spencer? This guy is never fully explained what he exactly is, other than he is the owner of the Umbrella corp.

The wikipedia says he was most likely charged with the outbreak on Raccoon City, so either he is on trial or escaped.

I think Spencer is dead by now. Rumours has it that Albert Wesker will be taking charge on Umbrella Corp.

Anyway, anyone is getting excited about Resident Evil: Extinction?

Meh, Resident Evil is nice and all with the zombies, but I much prefer a Doom style with storyline and such. Nice and simple, clear motivation and goals, tough and gritty!

I agree... I would suggest starting off the Resident evil series with Remake coz it rules!!!

You agree with him and suggest Resident Evil remake? That's one of the more puzzle filled games..:p
If you want a nice and simple RE with clear motivation and 'goals', RE4s your game heh.

Doom storyline? Nice and simple? Boring and repetitive? Ohh! :p

You never really have your own opinion.

Which Resident evil game do you start off with? I actually started off with RE2 because at that time RE REmake haven't been released yet.

I started out with RE1 for the PS1 when it originally released, meaning I am T3H WIN! LOLZ!

RE1 was the first PS1 game I ever played.
Played it over at my cousins house.
