My preload files are at 3,43 gigs, cs source included 4,35 gigs

edit: 3,43, not 3,54 :p

Yep that's what I think, going at a steady 644kb/sec right now. It's STILL at 80% so there must be a shitload of stuff to update for HL2! WOOWOO! We are getting really close!

According to the steam forums, it's 838 megs of stuff!

Wow its going mega slow this time.


First preload (not the first but the preload from scratch to get ALL preloads) went about 3 hours.

This looks longer....so......*starts to shake* Get off steam guys....um...its naughty....

No but seriously....talk about daysaver. After all of the "No gold today, again, this is an encouraging sign indeed.

im on 82.8% now, **** sleeping, gonna wait this out. its 23:30 here
 
up 7% in about 10 mins....god i cant wait to see the s3xyness of the bandwidth usage

Check the SteamApps folder under Steam\.

Woa, didn't restart Steam and thought I had everything. Now it says 69% and hasn't started yet. I'll leave this thing on for the night and see if it's finished when I wake up.
 
whooo! A new preload phase. I can feel it. It is getting close....very close.
 
To be preloading maps means that it really should be... like... gold and stuff...

the file is called "Half life 2 base content"
wasnt the final counterstrike preload called "counterstrike base content"

This time its:

Half life 2 base content = 838mb
Counterstrike base content = 3.06mb

not sure what these means and why half life 2 is called base content.

any ideas?
 
Downloading at 2.2 mb/s here. From 80%, now at 87% in about 5 mins. Not bad. I hope it won't cutout at 99%, that will be really frustrating! hehe!

Won't happen. Even if it does stop for some reason, it will resume eventually.
