First STALKER, now this, hide american programmers...its the cold war of graphics engines! You are Empty. The engine almost rivals Unreal Engine 3.0 in power. The story is another different reality like STALKER, but in the cold war.

gamespot preview and video:
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/youareempty/

gamespy only looked at popular games so they don't have this yet

*edit*They have a high quality version of their e3 demo, once again http://www.youareempty.com

good, but has low poly issues, and the lighting is MUCH MUCH lower then even FarCry....

sorry, but that ain't no Unreal 3 killer, nor even a Source killer.

The environments are very high poly actually

Developer Digital Spray Studios wrote the game’s graphics engine from scratch, and it certainly looks capable of going up against the best engines from developers such as Epic Games and Valve. It looks that good. We’re told that the engine is highly scalable, capable of rendering as few as 50,000 polygons to 2 million polygons per frame

:| By first looks, to me it looks like it compares to the Source not to he Unreal Engine 3.0. The graphics look pretty cool though, the game looks interesting as well too.

It should be added that i'm still kepping an eye on this game. Looks interesting...

When i said UE3.0 i was talking about polycounts...the demo of UE3.0 has 1 million polygons in the outdoor scene they showed

polys are not everything, what is wrong with you people.. lets here features... please

The screenshot you found was much more impressive than the ones on the official site. But I wouldn't call it an HL2-killer.
The levels have mixes of coolness and blandness (ground textures).

Being that im Russian im quite proud of the whole 1C company. Oh yeah btw a strip from the E3 immpresion to clear stuff up.

no way in hell does it compare to unreal engine 3. maybe the source. but its no hl2-killer like said above ;)

looks cool tho. just dont exaggerate to much next time ;)

i almost took you half seriously till i read this line. you are now a joke and will forever be a joke. i hope your mom slapped you. the only reason this game looks nice is because of textures, need i not tell you that most of those screenshots are most likely renders. and will never look quite that crisp or clean filtered. this game does not even come close to anything seen on the Unreal 3 engine. not to mention those horrible low poly models that look extremely crappily designed.

Impressive, I'm curious as to how it will play, need to keep an eye on that one.

IM NOT TALKING ABOUT DESIGN, NOT TALKING ABOUT CHARACTERS, IM JUST TALKING ABOUT ITS DAMN CAPABILITIES!! why dont you people read all that is there before you criticise?

IMO that looks like kinda lika MP2 and Source.

the sky looks great, but the design sucks, as in Far Cry (IMO)

It looks like it's near the level of fartcry. Definetly no where clsoe to Doom 3, and numerous miles behind HL2.

Actually, from the video's I've seen of UE3, they're trying as hard as they can to show they only need very few polygons to accomplish their effects. They're actually showing fireframes to demonstrate how relatively low poly everything is.

From what I've seen of this engine, it comes close to X-Ray and Source, but no where near UE3.

I love to see games made by other companies. The big US developers need some good competition like this game, stalker, and farcry. The more competition the better the games will get and the more fun we will have.

it looks no where near as diverse or shiny as farcry, I dont know why people are using this as an excuse to lay into farcry. Farcry is fun, and will always be remembered as a reliably delivered game. and people who still moan about what it was lacking months after its release, must be bored as heck 24/7 or just sad,

Leave farcry alone, period. or daz Germans wil Spank you a gud un.

Valve is a small developer but they sure know how to pack a hell of a punch.

Little off topic, but UE3 beats source? UE3 has great looking, but source has great physics, character animations, etc... Or am I missing something, and has UE3 all of that?

You could say that about any media product.
