Reality TV daredevil and Jackass star Ryan Dunn was killed in a car accident in the early hours of this morning.
The 34-year-old died in a one car collision near his home in West Goshen, Pennsylvania at around 3.30am following a night out with friends.

It was actually Bam Margera's mother, April, who confirmed Ryan's death by calling into Preston and Steve's radio show on WMMR 93.3.

This sucks. Hardly unexpected, considering the lifestyle he lived, but he will be greatly missed. R.I.P Ryan.
 
Drunk driving? lucky the knob head didnt kill anyone else wile he was at it.

Someone was riding with him? It says a one car collision... unless it means it collided with one car. Could have been another guy in that picture. It's really amazing to me that it's taken this long for one of those guys in the jackass crew to die tragically.
 
An unknown man was also in the car at the time and was also pronounced dead at the scene.

i was just talking about him last night with my uncle because of that new show he's in...scary coincidence since I haven't even thought of him in years.

He was Dunn for from the beginning.
 
Yeah that sucks that he died. I honestly was expecting Steve-O to be the first Jackass cast member to die though.

I don't know if I can really feel any sympathy here.

Sure. I was a humongous fan of CKY when I was a kid, watched Jackass, and grew-up with the guy being a source of entertainment in my life. My friends and I have tried to re-enact some of the stunts he performed (I still have video of the shopping cart crap we used to do at the local Walmart). This guy was awesome. All in all, I'd be truly sad and horrified that he passed.

But.. It was most likely drunk driving related and due to his drunk idiocy. Not to mention that his actions likely caused the death of whoever was riding with him. I've never held sympathy for these people and won't go against my ideology in this case. He (probably) drank, he drove, he killed himself and also a goddamned passenger. I'm furious with myself that I want to feel sympathetic for him and his family/friends because I was such a fan.

I'm using words like "likely" and "probably" here because there are simply not enough details to confirm that he was drunk or had been drinking. That tweeted photo could have been from a previous night and this may be just a terrible and tragic accident. I hope for this, but so far it seems otherwise.
 
Although he is a nobody in the scale of celebrity stardom, he is a very familiar face from jackass and the films...still very sad for a very young man to die. I don't know if I can laugh at watching him get smacked in the face by a giant hand and and floured knowing he's dead. We still don't know for sure it was DUI, seems likely but I won't jump to conclusions. Very sad, RIP.
 
I hate it when young dudes die, especially when there is alcohol involved. So unnecessary.
 
If he was driving drunk, then rest in pieces you idiot. I dont recognize him so he gets no fanboy bonus points from me. I saw the first jackass movie and thought it was terrible, but knowing the vile content of that show, I wouldn't be surprised the guy was an idiot enough to drive drunk.

Looks like he lost control going in excess of 100mph and the car basically exploded. At that speed though they probably died on impact with the trees or whatever so at least they hopefully weren't burned to death. From what I can tell the bodies were burnt beyond recognition.

I think this is sad, just because I think anybody dying young and because of stupidity is sad (and driving that fast is stupidity, even if he wasn't drunk). I suspect DUI is truth based on that pic from twitter but even so it's still sad. And for all you saying that he killed his friend, that's true, but you can't really absolve his friend of responsibility for riding with someone who you know is drunk. IMO that makes it just as much your fault for being dumb enough to get in the car.

Agreeing with this. If DUI was the case I don't think you can lay the blame entirely on Dunn for the death of his friend even though he was in control of the vehicle. His friend (likely drunk as well) would've willingly got in the car with him. Plus we have no idea what was going on in the car before Dunn lost control so they could have both been arsing around and encouraging the speed.
 
Anyone who drives that fast at night after drinking is inviting their own death. At his age there's no reason to go that fast unless you want to die.. It's a pity that he died, more so that it was by his own hand
 
Whatever, if he was truly going that fast, he's an asshole and I don't care about the fact that he's dead. Better that he died than someone else he could have hit on the road.

I have no sympathy for people who are that reckless when it comes to other's safety, especially on the road. And especially when said person was some annoying rich shit from Viva La Bam.

Damn, that was brutally honest. But I have to agree it's better that another vehicle wasn't involved in the crash.
 
I would hope that people would remember him for the entertainment and laughter he provided for many people and not the seemingly (until confirmed) stupid way in which he killed himself.

But each to their own, I guess.
 
The manager of Barnaby's in West Chester, Pennsylvania, confirmed that the photo was taken in his bar Sunday night. The bar is about a mile away from where Dunn was killed in a car crash.
Manager Jim O'Brien confirmed that Dunn was drinking there.
"He didn't seem to be intoxicated at the time he left," O'Brien said. "Ryan was not a hardcore drinker, at least not when he was here."
O'Brien said Dunn was a regular customer and well known to his staff.

I really don't think it's a hoax, I think it's a lot more likely that that site is just spreading that rumor in hopes that it becomes true and they get a lot of attention for "calling" it first.

The police found his car on fire after a 100mph crash with two bodies inside, one of which had his tattoos. He's dead, guys.

ya agree with this. it's his fault. his recklessness could have caused his death, the passengfer's death and the deaths in the oncoming vehicle

He put himself in a position that ended up getting his friend and himself killed, and in a position to do serious harm to completely innocent people. Do you know how many people are killed by drunk drivers like him? Its completely normal to despise drunk drivers.

No, but Dunn put himself in the position. I doubt he was forced by his friend to drive, so Dunn assumes the vast majority of the responsibility and blame.

No, but it was his fault, and he should have known better. Also, where did you get your information? Hitting a tree at 100mph+ usually means instant death. His body was probably burnt post-mortem.
 
I agree with others, he gets no sympathy from me. If he wants to drink and drive then he is signing his own death warrant, and its bloody lucky he didn't kill some other innocent guy in another car.
 
Wow, some real bitter mother ****ers on here. I wonder if anyone will be at your guys's funerals when you crash your cars and explode. The dead require no sympathy from us, but he's still a human with a family. Even if he's a dumbass there's doubtlessly people who were close to him who are in immense pain right now.
