oh and the United church of canada (a christian religion) allows gay marriages ...so they decided it was ok for gay couples to be married so obviously it isnt about what the bible says it's personal choice. BTW to all the christians out there who are opposed to this ...why do you care? I mean it's not like they will affect your lives in any way

Yeah a Christian church that isn't realy christian, Sad but there are a lot of them. Plain and simple the bible condems sex between two(or more :E ) of the same gender.

I am against Homosexual marriage because I beleave marriage is a union not just between husband and wife but between them and God. Being that God said that sex between the same gender is an abomination then I cant see why it would be okay to call it Marriage, I dont believe marriage is okay for any one deliberatly living a sinful life not just for gays. However I am against shorting human beings their right to Life, Lyberty, and the pursute of Happiness and not giving them the oppertunity of health benifits just doesn't seem right.

who are you to say they arent christian? they've been around since the 1800's. Frankly I'd rather belong to a liberal based christian church that actually has a belief system firmly rooted in the modern times, instead of some antiquated hateful offshoot of christianity ...not that I'm a member...but at least they have the balls to stand up for what's morally wrong. Oh must I remind you for the 10th time? ...THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN BY MAN!

I hate it when people use a literal translation of the Bible to justify prejudice and/or condemnation against gays. If your going to do that than you can't just stop with the parts you happen to agree with. By saying that the Bible condemns sex between gays I take it you must also be pro slavery then? Also, women really have no rights either. Ooh, and lets not forget torture too, among other atrocities.

I mean obviously you must think slavery is fine and dandy since the Bible condones it. After all it's always perfectly right about everything, like condemning gay sex, right?

this is exactly what drove me from religion in the first place ..so goddam hypocritical
