Screenshots i would like to draw your attention 2.

I imagine the scratched out face in that pic would be our friend Wallace.
But who's the chap with the dark rings round his eyes standing next to Gordon and Kleiner? Hmmm...

Or it was the G-man.

The scratched out face is breen of course. Why would kliener scratch out a friend....... sigh***

The newspaper clipping one is great. Very good method of filling in holes.

I found this, showing a friend of ours is indeed omnipotent

heh, kleiner is such a stud with those sideys :p

also if you notice on that noticeboard (pardon the pun) down the bottom left there is an article saying "Black Mesa Admin Charged With Human Affairs Bureau. My theory is that wallace was imprisoned for screwing up at black mesa (probably for research without the consideration of others) and was given the blame for the combine invasion aswell. Perhaps the combine recognised that wallace was the reason they found earth (and it was to their liking for whatever reason - humans for that dark energy stuff?) so they made him the administrator...or something. Any ideas?

By far, my favorite aspect of HL2 is the G-man. His sheer power boggles the mind.

It looks like what I expected for a while now: The combine came to help earth with an hidden agenda. Help the distressed people of earth by declaring war to the xen aliens so that we, earth people would be greatfull and lend them our help. But the hidden agenda becomes obvious in the game: Holding earth captive by declaring policestates (the numbercities) and forcing us remaining humans to live in those states and become enslaved to work for the combine. as metrocops, combine soldiers and elites, getting captured, brought to novaprospekt and changed into stalkers, combine coldiers, metrocops and elites.

Or it was the G-man looking scientist, which it is, since in HL1 you are playing Gordon on his first day to work, so I guess that it only takes 1 hour to go from being a scientist with a briefcase, leave the facility, come back in with a blue suit on and a suitcase.

It isn't the G-man.

You're right, it is another scientist. However, it was definitely not Gordon's first day on the job in HL1.... everyone there already knew him.

This does not work, as one of the newspaper clippings mentions a seven day war; with the Combine. This means they obviously came in hostile from the start.

Actually I think it was 7 hours not days.

the picture of all the scientists, if you use it (e) a eye scanner appears to your left. Is there any way to get kleiner to use it?

In half life 1, you see G man alredy on the tram ride, also once you arrive you can see him talking to a scientist in some room behind a glass. Noclipping there reveals they aren't really talking (telepathy uncovered! conspiracy! j/k).

The dude is this one:

Second one isn't so clear, but it shows how he can appear g-manish in certain lighting conditions.

all the stuff I could get from kleiners lab:

Pictures reference:

1st: The entire bulletin-board
2: post it notes, reading "watermelons for lamarr", "marshess field flux MUST!> self limit!!! c4=0.150937" "for eli! manifold parameters" near those an article with picture of eli vance (and mossman?)

3: a paper with notes, all i can read is the red "mutation? evolution?" part... maybe regarding the combine?

4: what I could get from the paper behind it... maybe ill find the texture in the gcf later and get the whole thing.

5: what appears to be a salad recipe.

6: a drawing of "uncle" kleiner by (a much younger) alyx.

7: this doll dances when you use it.

8: some document about the mark V HEV suit.

9,10: this teleport will actually teleport any prop you put on it.

In black mesa east:

11: eli says "check this out"... what does it do? I messed with the dials to no avail...

12: the bookshelf, with all kinda science book, some mark laidlaw novel (just like in gordon's locker in hl1), and "the BIG book of BIG text"

Any ideas?

3 has a drawing of a headcrab on the bottom of it, so I assume it's referring to that.

11... I'm not sure, but is that the infamous "sample" that caused all the problems in HL1?

11 is just a sample from xen, too small to the THE sample from Black Mesa.

You have seen he can teleport himself?
But its more likley to be breen.

11 - It does look like the 'sample' (or at least the same stuff) that was used in Black Mesa. I also thought it was the stuff that was in/powered the Gravity Gun...
