All the trains are ****ed and everyone gets a day off \o/

*does a little dance*

I didn't hear anything about the trains being ****ed. But hopefully my school's boiler has broke again, that was fun last time!

What? You get a day off when it's snowing? Is that a shitload of snow, or what?

Snow destroys United Kingdomers.

my schools closed down! /punch-air

If it snows for 10 seconds its chaos in the UK. Bus drivers go on strike, trains stop, people drive at 5 mph, people stop walking because they fall over on the ice.

In its defence, its snowing pretty hard here, 100m visibility out my window. Havent seen snow in a decade..ish. Still going to Uni though, albeit its only like a 5min walk away.

Could be eventful though, ice could be anywhere, waiting to ambush me under the snow.

****, here we keep working at -13*C and like 20 cm of snow!

That was when i still had a job though... :(

Damn living in Devon. It doesn't even feel like it will snow down here :(

I find it strange that our train service can't handle snow in February. It used to snow far more often than it does now, why are the people of the UK such pansies?

I called the office and they basically said don't bother (It's an 80 Mile round trip), so a good opportunity to catch up on home stuff, however the work will still need to be done when the snow clears.....:|

Dear god I hate snow. I could never get used to walking on the black ice covered walkways in Chicago. Busted my arse many times.

POST SNOW PICS TOO!

Hey, Glenn, do you live near Harry Potter? Punch the Dursleys in the face for me, eh?

Took me over an hour to drive home from my girlfriend's house last night cause if I went over 20mph, I skidded out. Was terrifying.

Apparently the worst* snow in 18 years.

*Read: best.

I'll post some pictures as soon as I find my camera.

I had to drive home from Cambridge to London last night (via M11) and I got caught in a really heavy snow storm blizzard, couldn't hardly see the cars in front of me, slowed right down to 35 mph. Terrifying driving conditions, but also a pretty good challenge :D

It's just started to snow here in Marsh Barton, very lightly. Nothing has settled yet but it's forecasted to snow constantly overnight and Exeter is supposed to have 2-3" of snow tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to having to ride in the stuff.

Other parts of Devon nearby are covered in thick snow, I think it's just because we're in a valley and so close to Dartmoor Exeter has its own sort of micro-climate.

We don't have the infrastructure to cope with snow, because it hardly ever snows and we can expect weather like this every 10 to 20 years.

Only mild snow here (Preston) which has now pretty much all melted.

Snow here as well. I'm getting sick of the cold, snowy weather now. Roll on May.

Turning into almost a blizzard here, walking into the wind is painful, and I keep inhaling snow.

I'm stranded in Gloucestershire now, I only came home to get some effects pedals I ordered and it decided to turn into god damn Siberia outside. Good thing I have no lectures on in Bristol today.

Loads of snow here and it's still snowing hard. Just seen an car accident on my street already. I'll find my camera and post pics of it.

Snowing here too, although it looks like it turned into rain around half an hour ago. I'll post pics when I'm less lazy.

I actually had no idea it had been snowing until this thread turned up. I only just now got up, opened my blinds and saw what all the fuss was about. Huh. Too bad all my mates are at Uni otherwise I'd be out in it. :(

I hope the trains are ****ed here as it'll give me an excuse for tomorrow as to why I didn't turn up today thanks to oversleeping.

I'm hoping for snow all week. Think snowy thoughts, guys. Let's make it happen.

Snowing here pretty hard now, roads starting to get covered in snow, if it keeps up like this it should be pretty deep tomorrow :D

Its ok here in France, 3 weeks ago was chaos though.

Hate snow so much. So many girls love it, but that's usually because they are not the ones shoveling it.

Just been speaking with housemates and one of them turned around and said 'well if this snow at this time of year doesnt prove global warming doesnt exist, I dont know what will'.

I just faceplanted and walked out laughing to myself at the stupidity. Really cant be arsed to argue over something like that.

I don't know how many times my father and other people have used that dumbass reasoning as well. All I could do was walk away, as you did.

Got sent home early from school, had to take the bus home and that was pretty slow. As soon as I got off, some bitch right infront of me fell over. I walked ever so slowly home. As I was walking, I was on the phone and nearly slipped over so all they could hear on the phone was "oh shit!"

Had to take walk another way since the path I usually take had so much ice, it was too dangerous to walk down. Took me an hour to get home when it usually takes me 30 minutes.

That bitch must be so dumb for falling, shit. Damn that'll teach the bitch to leave the kitchen LOL!

You could correct them...

Perhaps you have time to argue with every stubborn republican, but I don't.

It's called picking and choosing your battles son ;)

Arguing is fun. You're WRONG. Prove you're not.
