Which is weird, because I live in Mississippi, a southern state in the US. Registered 3.1 on the Richter scale. It freaked me out a bit because I'd never heard of such a thing like that happening here. Happened just north of where I live.

Anybody else have strange weather stories they want to share?

Pretty much everyone around the globe has experienced strange weather. Just look at the chinese!

Thankfully I didnt wait one more day to drive home, otherwise I would have been caught up in tornadoes and shit.

There was an earthquake around St. Louis about a month ago, it was a 5.4. Woke me up, and my bed was shaking... Like someone was at the end of it. My first though, Time for school? Nope... ****in earthquake... weird... It was a strange feeling. the only reason I woke up was because my lamp fell over and hit me in the head.

But, ever since then we've had about 40 aftershocks. Weird.

NASA is breaking out the earthquake machine early this year because the weather control projects are behind schedule; Myanamar was way off target.

We had a frost that cooked some early growth on our planted trees, but the weather is as close to perfect as it can get just now.

Weird thing is, there has been no weird weather where I live, if you don't count the temperature fluctuating.

WIlleh that was me in your bed last night, that was no mere earthquake :naughty:

One morning i was in my bathroom and the room started to shake and then i realized i was on the toilet.

Earthquakes are fun. We get them pretty often in california, like once or twice a year or something.

my buddy lives in st. louis...it woke him up but he thought the walls moving was just a dream. then his brother woke him up 15 min later and was like "the earthquake didn't wake you up?" and he was like, "What earthquake?"

i live in columbia and didn't feel it...people around here say they did but i just assume they're full of shit and are just one of those people.....1 uppers or something

Last time I even remember being in an earthquake, was in California where we frequently had to go outside... and the cars in the driveway were bouncing up and down.

Well the UK had the hottest temperatures in the whole of Europe the other day, we were at 27c, compared to low 20s in the likes of Spain etc.

Personally I dont think it was that hot at all, but it was all over the news. I have to laugh at the brits, the temperature pushes its nose above 20 and people think its armageddon, stocking up on water and predicting draughts etc.

I must admit though, for this time of year, the weather is strangely beautiful. Cloudless skies and 'high' temperatures, it feels...weird. Somethings not right. Been having braais for the past 4 or 5 days, its like being back in SA but its colder.

we had a pretty big earthquake like a 4 or 5 something I think, about 3 weeks or so ago, and small(ish) aftershocks... Do earthquakes really count as weather though?

I'm screwed, i live in SoCal, were due for something huge, we haven't had a major quake in years...

More like Mother Nature's wrath I guess.

We had an earthquake here a few months ago I think. I slept through it, but it woke my mum up and most of my friends. It was pretty strange

Yeah, I remember that. I was in the bathroom at the time. I now wish I'd been standing because it would have been cool to have to grab hold of something to keep myself standing (just like in films!), but, alas, i wasn't. i was on the toilet. But i still grabbed hold of the radiator!! :cheese:

it's amazing how hot it can get over here. In the past we've had quite a few heat-waves in the summer, which is quite surprising for a country so far up in the Northern Hemisphere. It's starting to cool down a bit now where we are, but it's still gorgeous weather for May!!!
