So, whatcha doing this saturday?

Well, the more times he attempts this, the more it will become clear following or believing in these sorts of irrational people and ideas is foolish. People like this slowly cause Christianity and other faiths to lose their legitimacy, they inadvertently work against their own cause, and I am happy for that.

?

So I've been looking into this and I've found that what Harold Camping is doing is technically blasphemy in the eyes of Christianity because it goes against The Bible's teachings that no man will know the date of The Rapture. Only God is supposed to know ergo, Harold Camping is placing himself on God's level.

My conclusions are thus:

1. He's in it for the money / attention.

2. He's genuinely just bat-shit insane.

It could be either or both.

3. Does it really matter which he is?

Meh, people will continue to follow nutjobs like him eagerly. They're not really going to base their decisions on past failed doomsday prophets.

3. Does it really matter which he is?

Not particularly. Either way, a lot of people are going to dislike him and if The Rapture does actually happen, he's going to hell anyway!

More importantly, what kind of God would choose Harold ****ing Camping as his harbinger of salvation.
