Looks quite cool actually :D Never heard of this. Any ideas on a release? What platforms?
 
Early 2010, ps3, 360 and pc.

Chances are pc will be a port and wont be great.

This actually looks pretty cool, like a Burnout for the enhanced physics generation.

Jesus this game looks beautiful. From what I've seen of earlier gameplay the damage modeling on the cars is AMAZING (CARS BEING TORN IN HALF AND SHIT OH GOD).

Basically it's a driving game with explosions and collapsing buildings.

I liked the developers previous racing game called PURE, so I have decent hopes that this will turn out good!
 
Looks like an NFS-type driving game (in terms of realism) with the added gimmick of triggered explosions. Not sure if that's enough to mke the game special, but then again I've never been a big fan of driving games and I prefer more realistic ones.

Yeah Pure was fun, really nice driving physics. Didn't we have someone around here from Blackrock?
 
I keep getting this and Blur mixed up.
 
looks cool and all, but it doesnt seem like the explosions actually create any obstacles on the track. Its all sort of exploding on the sides but no debris is thrown onto the track :/

It really depends what the Powerplay is as to weather or not it leaves any debris in the track. Some of the larger Powerplays cut off hole sections of track opening new routes and new sections of race track. The main destructive force really comes from shock waves which push the car and screw your handling.

The main issue tho with having debris in the track is its only going to get in the way of the driving experience. At its core it is still a driving game and if every powerplay left obstacles all over the track its just going to become a complete maze of collision. Rather then zooming around the track at 150 mph players will be driving along at 20mph dodging blockages.

Been tossing up whether to grab Blur or wait for this. They both look really nice, but then again Blur is published by Activision, who I'm not too hot on at the moment...
 
We are out a week before blur :), I may well have a blur beta key tho if you want it. They have been having a lot of mixed reviews tho, people seem to either love or hate it.

Considering Burnout is my favourite racing series, Ive got my eye on this one now.

Ohh yes, there is a demo in the making. Not 100% sure what track they are using but it should be out a few weeks before the release :)

I've played it a few times through. Pretty enjoyable, but if I'm honest I'll probably give this one a rental first and decide from there. Normally I'd go for it, but there are so many damn games coming out in the next month that I have to be really picky.

Jesus christ, I thought the air control tower coming down was impressive, then I went through there again the next lap... :O
 
Is the demo available on Silver as well or just Gold?
