Steampowered kicked us out! Ooh the excitement!

why not blame VU...they are suing Valve....they wont let them release it early when they can't talk with the retailers they talk to...sure the retailers should listen the first time...but i dont think VU should threated valve to release early
what would happen to VU?

I blame God... he created all of us. How could he be so stupid. :|

FFS people, the release date is the 16th, they have no reason to move it forward. So people have got their copies early, **** that - they're not going to change something as major as the release date.

2 days left, hold on tight now....

Some of the posts at steampowered are hilarious - people saying they hate VU because something happened that for the moment is beyond the control of VU.

Probably the same people who flamed Valve in October last year....

well i'm definately on Valve's side, but if they released it early, then VU would lose money, because people would rush to Steam and download versus waiting for the 16th(unless they live close to Best Buy), but money would be lost! Most stores are waiting..

If it's a possible breach of contract, then that means lawyers would be getting involved, and the last thing we want is a lightbulb-changing menagerie of anal retentive suits in the fray.

I feel bad for anyone who is not aware of the unlocking process and they picked it up from a store today. That is unfair to them expecting to play it.

Agreed.

The casual gamer may not be aware of the actual release date, and they are going to be frustrated because they bought the product in good faith and were expecting to play it.

you're fuking right mate

Yeah because what if their was a casual gamer that had a weak heart, went to the store, bought half-life 2 then installed it then it says "thanks for buy half-life 2, you can play on tuesday have a nice day" and then died from a heart attack what then! huh!

The store shouldn't be selling it in the first place.

It is against the law (england) to sell anything that is wrong described, hence HL2 released in shops without a mention of a release date is wrong!

This should have been printed on the packaging

is that the consumers fault? or Valves? or Vivendis? who told best buy to go ahead and sell?

I'm curious about that..seeing as though they will be fined for breaking street date who told them to do that?
