possible sign of the ascension? we thought it was over, but maybe it's only beginning? notice the last time Icarusintel was online: february 23.
did he know about the ascension beforehand? if so, who gave him the information? AND, what is sparta's role in this dreadful play?
we already know who is ultimately pulling the strings, but his puppets are still among us, remaining unknown.

Heh. Thanks. And to everyone else for their kind words. There are two problems with that.
A: I'd prefer to do up out HL pages first.
B: I'm really, really lazy. It took me the internet almost imploding to get me to write something. Who knows when I next pick up the pen, so to speak.

As I searched through the devastatingly vast Lounge, finding no sign of the thread, I almost, almost gave up. I knew my expedition to be futile, but I couldn't give up and admit that it is a waste. It seemed pointless at the time, but as I entered the Eleventh Page, I started noticing... things... Marks left on Halflife2.net by the Ascension, echoes of paradox... And then I saw it. The thread. Stern's countdown thread. And the thing that really starteled me was - the thread was open.
It is still open. And so I sit here, commiting what I know should never be done, what I have previously sworn never to do - thread necromancy. The temptation to bump this thread is simply too much. I know not what this will do to the site. Perhaps paradox will return a hundredfold, or perhaps it will finally silence the echoes that dwell here. I don't know. Maybe I don't want to. But, here goes...
