TF2 Beta unlock time

I think it's broken for just about everyone... They must have left one very important file out of the upload... Like TF2.exe.

Instead of whining like a bunch of little whiners, you could report the bug to Valve. Seriously, what part of BETA do you people not understand? Of course it isn't perfect!

lol erm because the FF team who are unfunded just a few people making a mod can release in a rush and it just plain works, and yet Valve with millions to spend cant even release something that opens on their own steam platform, steam has always been a steaming pile of ****, and always will be.
 
In the facepunch thread someone looked through the GCFs and there is no .exe file!

Um some 300mb went from one GCF, few hundred MB appear in another lolz...
 
validating does nothing. I did it as well, as well as a restart. I'm sure it's something really easy they forget to do. hopefully we will be playing in the next few minutes

lol basically for any new people to valve, this is how they are now days.

They used to be 1st class, really behind their customers, now days, annd well ever since they got the greed bug and released steam, they no-longer care, they arent ready, but promised something..so what do you do,,release it but know it doesnt work, they dont need the bug reporting! they KNOW it was NEVER going to work, its a Cover your back tactic, well its realeased, but its a beta, and we have problems..the only problem you are found with currently is the problem of Valve Hype, and hitting the games news pages constantly so TF2 gets even more coverage.
 
Man im really interested in what happened.
 
Valve should stop hiring monkeys and get actual humans this time. They generally work better.

First Beta Observations (may need implementing):

1. Many people require an .exe in order to run an application on their computer. This beta therefore limits those people to not being able to play. Maybe Valve should consider including an .exe in the final release so that a wider audience can play the final game?

Hm... I will be reasonable and give Valve 30 minutes to fix this launch issue...
 
Well that sucks, I stayed up late and gave up at 1 (uk), then set my alarm early (7.30) thinking I'd have missed the rush, and bam, its still not working.

Atleast I got 6 hours sleep.
