I would have loved to have given Harvey a wet willy

"Oooh! I can feel your brainz!"

Absolutely brilliant, one of the best films I've ever seen in a long time. Really superb.

These are pretty awesome wallpapers. Too bad they have some weird ass filter on them. Anyways, don't look unless you've seen the film.

Oh, what's up default Poster Edges photoshop filter.

Yeah, unfortunately I cannot seem to find the originals.

People will probably disagree with me.-

But, I am not the type of person who dislikes something simply because it gets popular, if I like it, then I like it. What pisses me off though, is the amount of Non-Batman fans the new Joker has attracted.

If these non-fans started liking Batman because of the new films, I'd have no problem with that, but I feel there are a lot of people who only really care about the new Batman movie, because of the new Joker.
When I say this, I am mostly pointing my finger at Hot Topic. Hot Topic has some awesome Dark Knight stuff, but Hot Topic also knows how the beat the hell out of things. (Especially those scenester kids)

I just get pissed how there are people now who only like The Joker, not Batman, not the other villains, not the story, not Begins, and in some ways, not even The Dark Knight film itself.

I know how you feel, I've always loved comic books, especially comic book villains, more so than the heroes themselves. But when something as big as this comes out, and becomes a phenomenon amongst a crowd i'm not too particularly fond of, it doesn't make me happy. I wanted one of those wicked Joker shirts, but i'm sure i'll be labeled as a pop culture fan boy instead of a comic book nerd...i don't know if i should be happy being labeled as any of those, but the point still stands.

I'd be more annoyed if the film was less uncompromising about catering to it's audience. As it is, it's long, smart, and super-dark. If they want to like it for what it is, more power to them. If they want to pretend it's something else, then they'll just look stupid.

NOT ENOUGH JOKER! I wanted one more scars story. Just one.
Batman's voice is way too raspy. He just sounds silly.

You know who'd I'd like to see in a new film? Clayface (as long as they don't overdo it with crazy shapeshifting CGI). I always thought he had one of the best backstories ever (In the Animated Series, that is). He was an over the hill actor who had a disfigured face who discovered this experimental, but extremely addictive and expensive, cream that would let him remould his face. He couldn't afford it and ended up agreeing to do jobs for the supplier, starting him off on his life of crime. He then ended up getting an overdose of the crap which infected every cell in his body and turned him into Mr. Clayface.

Saw it again today, superior movie.

EDIT: Oh and I saw that one Pizza Hut commercial today and whoever said it spoils the movie is a ****ing moron.

As for possible future villians:
1) The guy who almost reveals Bruce as the batman reminded me a lot of the riddler, and they sure did throw him heavily into the plot rather than being a passing joke.

2) Catwoman. All the dog stuff along with

Fox: It'll do fine against cats

Also, was the scarecrow at the beginning an imitator or him?

Yea the first time I watched I thought it was whole imitation operation, but this time it was clear that scarecrow wasn't working with the fake batmen

I think it's rather a let down that he seems reduced to something a lot more petty, even if it does make sense and probably fits the character more (I don't think he was ever a "major" villain).

I loved the film. Saw it today and 2 days after it came out there weren't many people about, which was rather surprising.

Yea, it was just, his dialogue seemed a bit too "lol i'm scarecrow lol" and with all the pretend batmens and shit. Also, being a supervillian it was like "Oh no you crashed my car, kk I'll stay here"

He's probably still all semi-wonked out on his hallucinogen from the first movie.

1) Yeah, definately... but, he also had a very pathetic and fearful sense to him. Like, he came off more as a scared twat than a Villain who is willing to **** with Batman.
You see the way he looked at Bruce after the car crash? Looked like he was going to shit himself and cry.

2.) I would like Catwoman, we all know Nolan has said he doesn't think he has to do her... but I also get the feeling he may just be egging us on.. maybe.

I kinda wish more scarecrow was used, or more was used in Begins, but I can understand why they didn't.

Back around X-mas I got the Joker shirt where it's just his face, the first released image of him. I am happy to have it though, I don't regret buying it... I still wear it a lot, and I know in ten years I'll still like it.
I've really been considering the "I Believe In Harvey Dent" T-Shirt, I see very few people with those.

I wanna see some Harley Quinn in the possible third sequel.

That inasne guy that Harvey was gonna kill was a very good actor. David Dastmalchian was almost like a teenager version of the Joker. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2810287/ His acting was up there too of Heath as well. If anybody should play The Joker again, it ought to be that guy. Even the kid that played Gordons son was top notch. The way he said "but he didn't do anything wrong dad." I mean that was a very minor role for the kid but even then, it was delivered soundly. Keep an eye out for the kid. ;) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1997480/ Usually you got some whiny kid like your average Disney movie and I always cringe when kids are put into leading roles into movies. They even had the guy who played in the Sixth Element: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001474/ Also our G-Man from LOST was on the show but I doubt we will ever see him again. Bah screw spoiler tags, just don't read the thread! :p

Yes, you're right about that. His character just reminded me of him pre-villian. He has absolutely no motive or balls to do it

Yeah, he was very good in The Mist as well.

Just saw it again, still just as awesome.

Some things I noticed about Harvey...

When he's talking about how he had to lie to Rachel and say it was gonna be alright... I don't recall him saying much of that at all. He seemed to be preoccupied with getting out of the chair. Maybe he was deluding himself, trying to think he wasn't... maybe, being a coward?

Aw crap, I can't remember the otehr thing about him.. Anyway, how about Gordon, the person he loves most is his son, not his wife? Maybe that's referring to... one iteration of the comics, a more recent one from the eighties, when gordon has an affair with one of the detectives. Maybe Ramirez. I don't know.

OH right right right, I was thinking that it was good they put two-face in this one, because one- if they saved it for the third movie, if they kept this origin story they had it would just be dragging on across films, and if they had two face in this movie and the third movie, it would have gotten really old. I think two face was in for just the right amount of time, and it was right to kill him off at the end, which is what I believe- that he's dead.

What a great movie. So that's me seen it with mates, I'll have to now see it with the bird, the old man etc etc. :p

The whole thing had this really creepy theme going whenever the Joker was on-screen, I was always wondering who was going to be mamed next.

I fell for the whole Gordon being dead thing. Brith of two-face was pretty intense so I can only say I was disappointed when he died.

Bah, I've got some mental block just now, but I've just woken up, so nyah.

TA-DA!

The filmed needed a more unique setting, is my biggest complaint. That really isn't much for me to whine about as the film was great anyway, but Gotham City just felt like bog standard New York city to me. The metro lines in Begins were great and I quite enjoyed the Narrows as a 'no mans land' type of place, but they seemed to remove any trace originality from the place and it all felt a bit Spiderman after that. I don't know, just eh.

But like I say, this didn't detract much, just a bit of a bother at the back of my head.

I actually thought that he was referring to Rachel constantly telling him it was going to be alright, when they both knew it wasn't.

It's Chicago, actually. And I actually felt that strengthened the movie. The Joker as a pure force of chaos terrorizing Chicago hit pretty close to home for a lot of Americans.

Also to anyone who is saying Catwoman, Robin, or Penguin for the third movie, it's not going to happen, so stop now. Nolan has said on several times that he is not using Robin because this is early in Batman's career. Christian Bale has also said he'd walk away from the movies if Robin was introduced. He is a campy and shitty character who has no place in this incarnation.

The reference to Catwoman in Dark Knight was just that - a chuckle to fans. Nolan and Goyer (who write this shit) have said that they want to use villains who have not necessarily been in the movies before - hence Ra's and Scarecrow in the first. Also because of the Halle Berry movie, the rights to catwoman may not even be in their possession to use.

Expect something different and better.

I had a feeling it might be Chicago, but even so, it just felt like an ordinary city with heroes and villians running around it. I mean, I'm glad the new films are straying away from the style of the older Batman films/shows/comics but eh, it disappointed me somewhat.

I actually hated Gotham in Begins, and I especially hated the Narrows. It was so confined, and it had this near cyberpunk feel at times that was so absolutely out of place.

You know what villain hasn't been in any of the Batman films? Clayface.

Whoever suggested

The blackmailing accountant as the Riddler

That was a nice idea. Shame the name doesn't fit.

The rumour I keep hearing is Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin.

The accountant would make one hell of a lame Riddler.

And you know, it's a shame we won't see Penguin, because I feel he is the natural evolution for the mob that have been so relevant to the entire series. He's something new in terms of the mobster element, and he's kind of like a culmination of everything that has happened to them. He would actually be really good. I also don't mind seeing Riddler, depending on how they do him, but you know, I'd rather see new villains.

Accountants are good with numbers. My dad brought up a good point with the chase scene. When moving people of high profile, they usually have multiple armored trucks and have multiple routes to go. This is to fool a potential chase scene like we had in the movie. Hey though, it's called a damn good movie.
