come on guys ..for one thing the address is wrong and dont you think retailers would be contacted locally by the distributor reps and not just sent a form letter?

Gave San Andreas a hire aswell, it being the only GTA I've never completed (I owned it but it done got stoled). Was enjoying it quite a bit until I was reminded of why I hated it in the first place - ****ing gang takeovers. What the christ? I can't even take the territories either side of Grove St without getting annihilated. ****ing ridiculous.

Also, is it just me or is the radio in this game basically Guitar Hero: the Soundtrack? :|

I swear that's about the third interview on IGN alone where they asked those same exact questions. Same thing on every other site aswell. At first it's kind of nifty to know they recorded 20 DVDs full of traffic footage just to get the flow right, or that the interviewer found an accurate representation of his apartment building when he was playtesting it, but after about the fifth time it starts to get a little stale. :|

although i bet if you actually brought that to a store you might get a game out of it. lets be honest, we dont have rocket scientists working at these places.

So I actually printed that out, I'm going to test it at my local game sore to see if I can get GTA4 out of it.

I agree, the IGN interviews are crap. They focus so many questions on the ***king multiplayer as well.

I was surprised to hear that the studios had video footage of New York running 24/7 though, quite a good idea for inspiration and authentic looks.
 
I swear that's all 60% of the run-up to the game has been; people kissing R*'s arse over the attention to detail. I'm sure it's amazing, but it's the gameplay that will keep me coming back.

In more music-related news, the Wikipedia page regarding music has been updated. But I reckon some of it's just been made up.. cause it's Wikipedia. Still hugely interesting:

Yeah, I just read that. Not a bad list overall - 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins appearing twice is odd, though, and the ambient/chill out station could of been better but what the hell, it was never that important to me anyway.

Sick of it All, Bad Brains and Murphys Law on the hardcore station is fantastic news. Sex Pistols can **** right off.

If you save the game while a territory is being taken, it will remain yours without a fight.

Hope there's not too much gansta rap on the radio stations, that's what I hated most about the previous GTA titles.

He has 8000 viewers. I'm watching and ignoring the spoiler parts when he does missions... I mute the volume and look away.
 
I'm still holding steady when it comes to leaked videos and such. It has put up less of a fight than I had imagined.

Tomorrow's Friday, and I don't have anything planned, so I need to fill that spot. Saturday's booked with a BBQ and a bonfire. Sunday I'll be camping at a friend's house to wake up to GTA IV Eve in which I will sleep in as much as possible (since there's no school... teacher-only days ftw). After that I will get dinner with some friends and hit GameStop at about 10pm with them (Rockstar srsly owes me some money... I probably scored them 5-6 buys). After that, it's an all nighter until 20 minutes before school starts. I would skip, but AP registration is that day, so I have to be there.

Ugh I hated Saints Row for that reason, and solely that reason alone.

Bear vs. Shark, Motion City Soundtrack, The Fall of Troy, Men Women & Children, and Reggie & The Full Effect were the ONLY good tracks on that game out of the near 130 songs.

How does the clothing work? Is it Vice City style or San Andreas clothes shopping style?
 
Jesus christ let it be nothing like San Andreas.

Walk into wardrobe --> 10 second animation --> select item from menu --> 5 second load time --> 10 second animation --> select buy/cancel --> 10 second animation --> select next item from menu --> 5 second load time --> 10 seconaaaaaAAAAAAAARGH.
 
ya, that sucked in SA, saints row is a lot easier, except who the **** is gonna pay 400 dollars for jeans
 
I mean by SA vs. Vice City, if you can pick and choose each part of your outfit or if you walk into pre-made outfits and can only choose from about 6 different ones
 
I'm fairly sure you get to choose clothing items individually.

Pretty sure, yeah. I'm fairly certain they talked about purchasing jackets/jeans/sunglasses individually in previews.

God that guy sucks, though. Can't survive a ****ing 2-star rampage... then got arrested for a random fistfight when he was fresh out of hospital, lollers.
