I keep having to close it cause I don't want to see any missions. D:

God that guy sucks, though. Can't survive a ****ing 2-star rampage... then got arrested for a random fistfight when he was fresh out of hospital, lollers.

Yeah he is terrible.. especially at driving.

Anyways I've had my fix. I'm going to stop watching now.

As I've said before I've rented GTA: SA. Well, I have some more questions.

How do I hold up a 24-7, food place or bank?
I jacked a armored bank truck but got nothing. Can I get money like that?
I'm still early in the game but I'll ask anyway. How do I take gang territory?
How do I attach a trailer to a Semi Truck?

I love this game which is why I will buy it. Oh and I found the AK-47 at the truck depot way north of Los Santos. :E:sniper:

someone mentioned the MUltiplayer footage has been leaked.......... anyone can confirm this ???

You hold up a 24-7 I think by walking in the store and holding your gun pointed at the clerk.

You get no money from jacking armored trucks. You attach a trailer to the semi truck by backing up onto the hitch thing, and it should automatically do it.

Man that Justin TV guy can't drive for shit (he seems to crash every 100 yards). But the game engine looks sublime, save for a low pedestrian population (Cities should have crowds at times).

I held my gun to the clerk for a while all he did was hold his arms up then crouch in fear. And I did backup into the hitch it did nothing.

For anyone that has been hesitant to watch any of the gameplay vids because of possible spoilers, the following video simply shoes niko starting a gunfight with the police, then trying to escape and dying when his car blows up.

Its just simple GTA fun and shows how incredibly awesome this game is going to be!

p.s his other videos also show how fun this game is going to be (and great the physics/graphics are) without spoiling much

I'm betting they have far denser crowds and car counts in the Manhattan borough. At least I'm hoping so. I was worried about the density of cars, seemed very low at least in the Bronx area he's in.

the live show is still up and he is doing another one.

Cop has Last Stand Perk on.

Awesome.

Well I'm finally off to go to my friend's place to play GTA IV :D

He's got to go to work in just over an hour, so I'm going to give him the choice of:

A. Leave me in his apartment to play while he's gone.
B. Let me take his 360 to my apartment to play while he's gone.

I'll be back with impressions later.

he's gone, well,

simply put it after 4 hours watching the live show, the best GTA game ever made.....

Holy crap at the ragdoll when you're thrown from an exploding vehicle. Seriously good stuff.

Liking the new death cam, too.

Ok I'm back. On my friend's laptop right now. I can give updates if you guys want.

As soon as I got done with the opening cutscenes I grabbed a chopper-type motorcycle, gunned it past the bridge blockades (getting 6 stars instantly), dodging the SWAT vans and cop cars as I crossed, shot the gap in the 2nd roadblock, hit some cross-traffic at the next intersection and sent myself flying 50+ feet. Then I grabbed another nearby motorcycle and was gunned down as I tore away from my crash :p Hospital charged me $2 off of my original $25 I had :D

Amish. What is the traffic and ped density like? I'm a bit worried.

... Dick.

I am so insanely jealous right now, I don't know what I may do. I'm wild and out of control. I may do something I regret.

That's it! I'm going to bed!

Tuesday will get here all the faster.

Awesome.

I'm afraid to watch any more because of spoilers... could you post the links to videos that just show pure gameplay without any story/dialog?

From what I've seen the ped density has been great. So long as Niko's been on foot for a little while though. As for traffic, it does seem a little sparse at times. Here's hoping it'll be busier on the Manhattan island.

Ped density is good so far and you start in more of an industrial area. I'm interested to see what it's like in Manhattan.

Haha. I bumped into a car while cycling stations and sat there as I was finding the talk radio one. The guy I hit got out and started yelling while pointing at the damage.

Driving definitely takes getting used to. True to life if you try to turn while slamming on the brakes your wheels lock up and you don't really turn. - that's the thing throwing me off the most right now. Even so, I'm not as bad as the other people I've seen in vids.

Got a weapon yet? How does it feel to use, over the shoulder aiming and shit? The cover system, etc.

Not yet.

I'm buying clothes :p

The new system is actually a very nice touch. You just walk around the store, go up to anything on display, press LB and Niko tries it on.

How much choice for clothing is there? I understand Niko is wearing trackies at the start of the game - or at least throughout, at points - so I'd like to change that as fast as I can.

There were about 5-6 types of pants (track pants, jeans, fatigues etc), like 8-10 types of shirts, a few shoes and a few hats. This was just in the Russian shop.

Sweet. I mean, I was quite happy with the range of clothing in SA, or at least enough to make a character I felt looked pretty cool. I presume you don't have access to MP? I'd like to see what the choices for customization are for that really, but thanks for the info anyway.

Prolly shouldn't play multiplayer...banning and all that business

The question I've been wondering for a while:

Does IV seem too ... "simulative" ... is it a big departure from the previously arcadey GTAs? I'm excited for the change, I'm only worried if it's harder to just go on a rampage or just have random/chaotic fun.

LOL

Worst first date....EVER.

I take her bowling (I won). As we're walking back to the car, I see a cop with his gun drawn on a suspect that has his hands raised. He's saying stuff like, "Nothing to see here, I got it under control" "No rubbernecking, keep moving". Interested in seeing what happens, I follow him as he guides the suspect (back to the cop car I assume).

All of a sudden the perp. bolts and the cop gives chase. "Suspect on foot, requesting backup!" etc. I decide to sprint and follow, hoping I can take the perp. down to either impress the chick or get a reward. I catch up to the cop and accidentally knock him down a flight of stairs. The cop calls for backup and chases ME now. I was pretty far from the car and I got a little lost. Backup arrived and they started shooting at me a bit. They had bad aim. People started freaking out on this pier I was on - peds either sprint off or take cover behind stuff. The cops keep shooting and KILL MY DATE.

Whoops, time to try that again :D

Yep, sure.

This video is 17 seconds long and simply shows how brutal crashing into things at fast speeds can be (i.e. nico flying threw the windshield)

http://toru.ee/view/a6e44f1df048

and this video just shows him driving into lots of pedestrians which in turn shows how INCREDIBLE the physics are (a dude gets hit by the car slowly, gets up hunched over and in pain and just stumbles around hurt until nico bumps into him and he falls over

http://toru.ee/view/431dc3db8e02

and this one just has nico having a fist fight with some dudes on the street (again awesome detail where a miss placed punch goes through the car window and breaks it)

http://toru.ee/view/ba06bc5c2ebb

basically none of the above give away anything other than just showing how graphics/gameplay/framerate/physics/feel are a world apart from any previous gta games

(i dont want to see any of the story/proper game until my pre-order arrives on tuesday but the above videos are well worth a guilty peek)

Heres something to chew on guys: Should Rockstar do an AO (Adult Only rating) version of GTA games? Not necessarily to have sex, but something where Rockstar can totally let loose and make things really over-the-top? Obviously they could do the "Mature" rated version for the bulk of sales, but an AO version would be interesting.

No major retailer sells AO rated games. It's just not feasible.
