Okay, seriously. I can understand this game getting 10s on a 10-point scale... but 100s on a 100-point scale?
Come ****ing on.
Mathematically, they're exactly the same.

Nah, just the music.
Awesome.
Am I to presume it doesn't stop playing when a cut-scene pops up, though? Or does it? That'd be even sweeter if it was smart like that.
From the games I've played, when something important comes up it usually stops.
Yeah, but on a 100-point scale there's so much more room for distinction - ten times as much, mathematically. I've seen plenty of footage of the game and it is hardly perfect, if only due to technical glitches and a downright atrocious framerate in places. When you're rating something on a 100-point scale, you have room to be much more discriminating in the actual number score you give a game, and frankly the game is not flawless. Sure, it may be a 96, 97, 98 or even 99 if you really want to push it, whereas on a 10-point scale, those are all 10s.

Uh, a 10-point scale with decimals is equivalent to a 100-point scale. Find me a journal that does a 100-point scale with decimals as well, and then we'll talk.
Well if 10.0 isn't perfect, and the Nintendo team's reasoning for not giving games 10s is often that a game is not perfect (apparently the tiny flaws in games like Mario Galaxy are enough to drag them down more than a point or two), then it seems like they have some discrepancies in how their editors handle review scores. As a person who writes game reviews (for money, even!) I find it pretty much impossible to give a game a 10, even the absolute best of them, no matter how negligible their flaws are.

Whoa, WTF on gamefly it says GTA4 comes out on the 28th?

Top Secret said:While I feel comfortable declaring GTA4 a fun game before playing it, I must point out that Amish still manages to post while having access to the game. Curious, no?
Update on the music thing:
I ripped a CD to my buddy's 360 and GTA IV is actually smart enough to not have the radio play in the car while you have music playing from the 360 itself.
I am curious though Amish, how did your friend get the game in North Dakota? He doesn't have a torrented image does he? D: Because that would be bad.

It was pretty stupid on Rockstar's part to release GTAIV on April 29th, International Dance Day. It's going to hurt sales seeing as everyone will be out dancing!
He pirated it and has a pre-order for it just like me - but I'll be damned if I'm not going to take advantage of his thievery
You make me sad.
That's why I'm sad.
