I thought P2P for games was always a given, no matter which format they're on. I don't see why some of you are surprised.
 
i played a little san andreas yesterday for shits and giggles. Nothing better than hoping the airport fence and stealing a plane, minutes after starting the game
 
is there a listing of stores that are having a midnight madness?
 
Pretty good but I'd prefer to see some combat footage really. The driving was impressive (very much so, in fact) but I've always been OK with the driving controls so I was confident they'd only improve upon them as they always have done.

1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins playing in that soft-top sports car thingy, though! :D

3 weeks ago my wife was at a ebgames buying my son a DS game ...the clerk asked her if she wanted to preorder GTA4, my wife said no, the clerk said, "oh well there might not be enough to go around when it's released" ..had I been there I would have said "stfu noob, rockstar will be pushing millions of copies out on release day if you dont have it half a dozen other retailers will" ...went to blockbuster and toysR US last night, they both had preorder copies

i have Tuesday off from work so I was planning on getting completely shitfaced and going at midnight.

Yes. :D

The driving looks ****ing sexual. Vehicles seem so weighty, love it. Also nice to see in that first gameplay video that free-aiming is somewhat accurate, I'm actually planning on disabling auto-aim altogether unless it's absolutely neccesary (one of the reviews said you could).

Edit - Lol second vid down already.

One cool thing I spotted in that one (spoiler incase you still want to be surprised by the game) -

One of the cops he didn't finish off was limping away slowly, and went down again when he capped him in the leg. :O
 
Yeah they're both been taken down pretty sharpish. Heh.

That was awesome. :D In fact the combat in general looks so much better than I was expecting it to. Driving looks great as well. I suppose they'll be a ton of gameplay videos showing up over the next week, but I can't help but feel like I'm ruining the surprise by watching them. :p

Eh, we're gonna see it sooner or later. Once the video reviews and proper gameplay vids roll out there'll be no resisting them, so can't hurt really (personally still trying to avoid story spoilers though). Anyway, I've been itching for some gameplay since Rockstar cockteased us so hard with those ****ing trailers. D:

Ooh, from the looks of that latest video there are multiple camera angles for driving, nifty. The slanted one from the earlier videos was pretty cinematic, but seemed a little non-conducive to right-hand turning. :p
 
the videos made me want it more, maybe rock star should just let them stay out there...assuming no spoilers are revealed
 
Rockstar should just release their own bloody footage already. A week before release and noone outside of the press had even SEEN the game (being played), that's just silly.

I am excited.

I spent all day daydreaming about jacking cars and driving about. Then I come home and there are lots of sexy YouTube vids that depict pretty much my daydreams.

Can't say I plan on upgrading to Vista or buying a console to play another GTA sequel.
 
Oh what the ****. I've got two really fething hard Product Design Theory and Design papers on May 20th which I seriously need to revise for, then a final exam which is a three hour version of both papers on Jun 6th.

It's going to be so hard revising for them with GTA next to me. :(

out of curiosity why did you post in this thread? to tell us you dont think Vista is worth it?
 
Why does everyone think Vista sucks?

It's fine and has been working for me with very little problem for five months. Ultimate 64bit. All you have to do is RESEARCH before you install and you will have little to no unexpected/unfixable problems.

/uses crane and lifts railroad cars back onto the tracks
 
As long as nobody shows a spoiler, I think the leaks are OK within reason.

A PC version hasn't been announced yet. I don't think it would require Vista, what do you guys think?

XP has a huge user base
 
Itll be for both, theyd be mad to only release on Vista.
 
When/If the PC version comes out, I'm sure there will be a DX10 option, which of course requires Vista. But I don't seriously think they'll pull a Halo 2 and require Vista for the game. I think they learned their lesson.
