I rerented GTA: SA today in anticipation for GTA IV. The first time I rented it on PS2 and it didn't wow me. The second was when I first got my original Xbox unfortunately I bought it from Gamestop and it craped out. This time I rerented the Xbox version and played it on 360 and I'm really enjoying it. I'm so epicly hyped for GTA IV! :E

I've been lurking on different boards and there are still some people upset about the map size. How it's smaller then San Andreas. To them I say dude your upset that New York City is smaller then Los Angels, San Francisco and a chunk of Nevada.
 
I just reserved my copy from EBGamestop for pickup at Midnight this Monday. Gotta take Tuesday off from work now--it is official.
 
Although I can't afford the game i'm just going to clear everything off my list on gamefly then rent GTA IV for the next year.
 
^ Why would you spend more money renting it than just buying it?
 
I'm doing a GTA3 marathon now, until IV.

That is, GTA3, GTAVC, GTASA, GTALCS, GTAVCS.
 
I'm doing nothing while waiting for it :p

I'm just going to continue trying to beat Zelda Twilight Princess. Game of the me for the moment (~16 hours in if anyone cares).

Less than a week to go! Woot!

I've already done GTA & Vice City, presently working my way through GTA:SA but have hit the god awful Zero mission 'Supply lines' if anyone has a down and dirty solution for getting past that one that doesn't involve pulling ones hair out in utter frustration it would be appreciated (PC here). It wouldn't be such a bad mission, if you had an RC helicopter instead of the RC plane (maneuverability is ass) and the fuel wasn't so tragically limited..... quite possibly the worst mission in a GTA game ever imho.
 
That mission was easy for me... The one that really was impossible for me so I had to get my brother to do it, was on the PS2 version the minigun one on the roof.

**** sake - stop asking! Of course there'll be a PC version! From GTA 3 onwards* the game has had its console debut months and MONTHS before a PC version graces shelves.

Why would R* not release a PC version? Just to single every PC only gamer out to make them feel excluded from everyone apparently having an orgasm over the damn game?

* - Except as far as I know the "Stories" spin-off games.
 
I asked twice, and thats because no one answered my question the first time.
 
I'm not being pissy at you personally, don't get me wrong. It's just so many threads have almost died a death from PC related injuries.

Try landing the plane on the road the van will be traveling along it'll be much easier to shoot them from the ground and will save fuel.

I hope theyve put more focus into the singleplayer though and not burnt themselves out focusing hard on the multiplayer. Its a singleplayer game really, its nice to have multiplayer yeah, but dont ruin the singleplayer experience please...

Im sure its gonna rock though, this could be the biggest game and day of gaming history. Places have STOPPED TAKING PREORDERS as they cant cope? Aha, and theyre predicting about 6 million sales this year? (or something), im sure itll be the first game to breach 10 within its first year.
 
Bloody hell how is this possible? Someone is somehow playing the PS3 version of GTAIV RIGHT NOW!! And he has captured and posted the opening credit sequence of the bloody game on Youtube! I've seen it and its certainly legit. (and beyond AWESOME!!!)

I hate leaked footage, as it just rubs in the face of the developers, but at the same time it wets my appetite.

Looks like its similar to Saints Row in terms of combat..maybe.

Definitely looks good though, feels like GTA, just looks so much better. This is SERIOUSLY gonna be good. And LMAO at the flying through the air after hitting a car with a bike.
 
I love how in the video you see the lightbar of the police car just get ripped off, its awesome.
 
hopefully the camera angle can be manipulated better
 
how much better are the graphics than saints row? hard to tell in the videos
 
Saints Row certainly looked VERY good, but I think the lighting is better in GTAIV.
 
even though the leak was crappy, you could tell the lighting was good
 
I chucked in Saint's Row the other day and it really looks shit to be honest. No detail to anything, everything looks way too flat and lifeless. What I've seen of GTA IV so far is twice as good, technically and otherwise.

Fuuuck, gotta resist watching those videos... D:

Edit - Goddamn, I have no resolve when it comes to this game. Watched and came thoroughly. Jesus it looks good.
