Yeah i think about it alot, along with the usual "why am i me?", "what happens when you die", and "is the universe a finite space, or infinite, it doesnt make sense either way." Too many unanswered questions in the world, some of which we may never know the answer to. :|

I can't understand why people ask "what happens when you die"
You die....
Your body dosn't go anywhere, this is fact.
Your brain is part of your body.
Every part of your consciousness is part of your brain, you can tell this by looking at people who have had part of their brain destroyed.
I realised how stupid the concept of a "soul" was even more a few weeks back whilst watching some program where a woman with alzheimer's had a "ghost" (a woman could see ghosts ) her body was there in the physical sense but the ghost was talking etc as "normal"
This goes against the fact of brain development.
I mean i am as i am now, if i had a soul would my thoughts be exactly the same, does a child always have a "child soul"?
What about a fetus.........or a plant?
You are a sealed unit, no outside "spiritual controls". Input into your senses provides data for your brain to develop, consciousness comes from an advanced brain, in the future i have no doubt a computer will be built with intelligence, will it then have a soul? ....imagine if you replicated a brain part for part, it would work the same but it certainly wouldn't have a soul, why should we?
Imo anyone who believes we have a "soul" or exterior control needs to seriously rethink their ideas of life.

Why do you people want to know the answer to these questions? Why do you ask them at all? If the universe exists from your perspective at least once (when you're alive), the universe may be able to exist for you again. Science isn't advanced enough to show either possibility to be true.
