i never saw the predator movies, but I think they would kick aliens ass, aliens were pussys
 
The Predator series will hopefully redeem itself, after that god aweful sequel *pew*.
 
I liked the secound one more than first, don't know why, maybe because it was set in the city. Jungles get boring very fast.
 
Well the jungle had a better atmosphere for the situation. Man and Creature, both fighting in foriegn land, in that sense their positions were even.
 
I prefered the first one aswell. Second had its moments though.. The jury is still out though as to whether I'll like AvP the movie though. As a game concept it was ok, but well... we'll see :)

though it is very disturbing that it sounds so close to the Dark Horse comics version from a few years back, thank god this vs genre wont last long
 
I can't believe they're finally gonna make this movie! the comics were great! better than the pc games anyway : /
 
first predator movie was great, arnie was actually pretty good in that film as well. the second one wasn't so great, danny glover would break out into a roaring sweat just from sitting down.

AvP could turn out to be one very interesting action film.
 
arnie might be a bit too old, beside he's to busy governing whatever state he has.
 
Bah, Aliens pwned Predator, and it had a halfway decent sequal, Ressurection wasn't toooo bad either.
 
Aliens will easyly beat predator!!! aliens rule!!!

thier faster, stonger, more plentyful, acid blood, constantly more are made by the facehuggers, what more could you want?

Wow, finally they've decided to make the movie, as franchise's go, this was one of the most blatant franchises to exploit. I mean, two of the worlds favourite aliens, battleing it out!
The games were good too, which adds to the want to see the movie for me.
Good find, cant wait to see it...

Finaly....Ive been waiting so long.


I thought the second film could have been great. I agree that a city setting is pretty interesting, not necessarily better than the jungle but different. Anyway, they made the preds to emotional. That bit where they carried off the dead one, and i didnt find them as scary as the first one. In the first film, the pred was like this unstoppable force which you couldnt even see. In the second film, the pred was more like a scary builder when you are 5 years old and have just wandered onto the building site.


Anyway, i loved the games and even though the film will probably have a different story completely, it should still be good.

I hope there is a crazy human who does what i like to do in the game..***n around with a knife :D. Its fun having knife fights with the predator but you can do some damage if you get it right. The aliens normaly just bite your head off within a few seconds.
 
But it won't be the same without Arnie in it, as he is not making any more films because he is governating California.
 
I liked the way the second film expanded upon the nature of the yautja.

All we knew from the first was that they were alien hunters with qualms about going up against unarmed/unwilling opponents. In the second, we see the inside of one of their ships, we see a leader, we hear their language, we learn that they won't fight if thier enemy is outnumbered/too tired to fight... and we learn that they've been coming here for donkey's years. oH, and that they have a sentimental streak, too.

Yeah, I'm a predator fanboy.

One trained pred can kick 2-dozen aliens exoskeletal asses before having to take a breather.
They are also somewhat immune to the xenos acid blood, as their own body fluids neutralise it.
A drone alien is roughly as smart as a smart dog, while a predator is more or less as smart as a human. Except that the young ones can be real jackasses.

Oh, and female predators are about three times as large as the males, and the rulers of their homeworld. The males just make things and go hunting, more or less.

Preadtors rock.
 
Seems like a stupid premise for a movie.... So are they going to make a Terminator versus Robocop now?
 
I hope so.

My money's on the Terminator, Robocop is still part human see.

It's in the books. "Prey", and "Hunter's Planet".

I think they're both by S.D. Perry. Broken Tusk (basically a legend among predators) features as well. I think he was in the comics.

EDIT: b_l, they've already done King Kong vs Godzilla. Heh, in the American version Kong won, in the Japanese version Godzilla won.:E

are they cannon? I'm pretty skeptical about things like that. Once the comics and stuff get hold of things they ruin stuff by putting lots of background into it. Predator was fun cause you just didn't know what the hell it was or where it came from. Alien and Aliens and to a far lesser extent Alien3 were fun cause you weren't sure where they came from either.. AvP, Alien 5 and Predator 3 (the last two wont happen if AvP bombs) will more than likely give too much info on them, and spoil them completely. The best part was always never knowing. Once you put a face to the enemy, so to speak, a history, a reason for being and detail on them they lose that special something that made them so good.
 
Not sure about their canon...ical...ness... But they do actually seem to make the preds a little more alien, as their point of view is almost totally irreconcilable with that of the humans. They take "survival of the fittest" to the extreme.
 
The first Predator was the best. Hopefully this will be a great movie.

Speaking of King Kong, i believe that big ol' ape is getting a new movie.
And if i remember correctly Peter Jackson is going to direct it.
 
From the pics in the clips I could tell that this movie will kik ass, the way that the pics were taken is very pro just like the WASHIWISKY borthers have done to the matrix trilogy.
