Yes you are absolutely right, blizzard trying to actually move away from the WC3 campaign and start a new story is a horrible idea, god damn you blizzard.

Don't you feel any shame at your lack of mental stamina in that you have to alter your opponents words just to make the most basic of responses in your favour?.

I mean really....not even a little?.

Content:

Bit dissappointed with the second day of blizzcon it was pretty much more of the same although they went more in depth on the whole Path of the Titan things and the UI it uses kind of looks like the glyph UI. They didn't go much into it but im still worried that its going to end up being "This path will be better for so and so class and you should only go down this path or ELSSSEEE"

They said the path would be viable for every class.

Quote from Blizzard staff
Raids & Dungeons

* The concept of Ulduar teleports will be back in future instances including Icecrown Citadel. Developers do not want you to have to run for hours just to get back to a boss after a wipe.

Cross Server LFG

* This will let you PUG 5-man instances and search for groups through multiple servers.
* It will come with its own reward systems. If you're the leader of a PUG and complete the dungeon succesfully you will be rewarded.
* It should be out for patch 3.3.0.

Icecrown Citadel

* Icecrown Citadel will have 4 floors.
* It will be a 10 and 25 players raid with 12 bosses
* Waypoints / Teleporters are being reused here because the instance is really big.
* You will fight Sindragosa, the ultimate Frost Wyrm. You will also fight Arthas.
* The instance is built around the spire where the Ice Throne sits.
* At the 2nd floor, you will have to board an airship with your faction leader and race against the other faction to reach the 3rd floor. You will eventually board their ship with rocket packs and catapults to fight them.
* The 3rd floor seems to be the biggest one and will feature 3 wings
* The 4th floor is where you will fight Arthas

Icecrown Citadel - Dungeons

* The Icecrown Citadel will also feature a 5-man dungeon.
* It has 3 different wings and feature 8 bosses in total. You will have to unlock the 2nd and 3rd wings through an epic questline.
* You will fight alongside Horde and Alliance heroes.

Cataclysm

* 4 Raids : Grim Batol, Skywall, The Firelands, Blackwing Descent
* Dungeons : Grim Batol, Uldum, Deepholme, Skywall, Abyssal Maw, Blackrock Caverns
* Old World Heroics: Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep

Abyssal Maw (LVL 78-82)

* Abyssal Maw is one of the two 5-player dungeons located in the Sunken City of Vashjir. It will be non-linear.
* It's a giant vortex in the center of the zone, getting near the vortex will pull you down to the elemental plane of water.
* The dungeon will be on the ocean's floor. You will be able to see the ocean through windows in the dungeon and will make an extensive use of the new water effects in Cataclysm.

Halls of Origination

* Halls of Origination will be a non-linear dungeon with elevators to access higher floors. It will feature 7 bosses.
* This is one of the first 5 players dungeon located in the lost deserts of Uldum
* This is the ultimate titan dungeon, it will feature a lot of titan's lore and you will meet Brann Bronzebeard once again here.

Lost City of Tol'vir

* Exterior 5-man dungeon

Blackrock Caverns

* Blackrock Caverns is an entirely new instance located inside Blackrock Mountains. It was a good occasion to reinvent a fan favorite.
* It is now an off-site base for Deathwing and it's now occupied by the Twilight's Hammer. You will find out why the Twilight's Hammer is here and what they want here.
* It will feature new art, loot, and creatures. The Beast still lurks ...

Blackwing Descent (Raid)

* Nefarian will return in this instance. This is an entirely new raid inspired by the original Blackwing lair with new loot, new art, new creatures.

The Firelands (Raid)

* The Firelands is the Elemental Plane of fire. You will fight Ragnaros again here and you will finally fight him at his full strength.

Onyxia 5th anniversary

* Onyxia is back with updated encounter mechanics. You will find new and updated loot here based on the original items with improved stats.
* Onyxia's 310% flying mount "Brood of Onyxia" is going to be a very very rare drop.

/excite

Holy shit, cross-server LFG? That's awesome! What originally turned me off to the game was that were was a lack of people looking to run a dungeon at the times I could play.

Any of you fellows actively play WoW?

I got a loot card earlier, trying to get rid of it. Path of Cenurion or something.

pm meh

about halfway through lvl 79...cannot wait to hit 80. if it were rainy tomorrow i'd play more but its gunna be one of the last pool days before we close the pool up. all my days off are rainy these days. but i love getting XP in battlegrounds now, so cool

Been looking into possibly starting to play WoW again as well. I quit playing long before TBC was released. Reading about the new expansion has brought back some great memories of playing the game in its early days. I just don't want to spend $60-$70 on buying TBC and WOTLK on top of the $15/month.

Anyone know where I can get the expansion packs for cheap?

My roommate got t he trial to WoW and played it for a few days.

He then got the trial to Guild Wars

He's playing Guild Wars

Who wants to defect and start an hl2.net guild? :p

Guild Wars is also fairly boring. Although I own it.

Yeah Guild Wars doesn't do it for me. Only because I like my MMOs to actually be massive, and Guild Wars "supposedly" massive part of the game is just a glorified chat room. (Any main city in the game)

I would think that buying WotLK will get you TBC as well. At least, how are you supposed to play 70+ content (WotLK) when you don't have access to 60+ content (TBC)? It would make sense and would only be fair tbh, although I wouldn't put any money on it.

WotLK requires you to have been updated to a BC account, unfortunately. I would have given it a pass if I could.

Pretty sure they can be purchased boxed together for a slightly better deal.

When Cataclysm launches you'll be able to experience the revamped Azeroth 1-60 with just the vanilla package of the game, for those who are thinking about starting. Now 70 to 85 plus the new races and zones and all that will unfortunately require the expansion packs, but once cataclysm hits, I think it'll be a pretty good way for you to decide whether or not you want to continue on towards end game.

Instead of WoW I went out and got drunk.

I think WoW might be more satisfying but its all up to debate really.

Drunken sex is a bigger reward but its a bigger grind to.

You've found me out gunner I am indeed The Finn

no not really I just really like that avatar.

got 5 more bars till 80. i shall finish the fight tomorrow night...

I enjoyed WoW to begin with but I played with friends and I only played over a period of four months before I got bored and decided a subscription fee wasn't worth the effort.

Thats my biggest problem with most MMO's.

Its just not worth paying them constantly for relatively boring games. Imagine having to pay Valve over and over long after they've made their profit from HL2 to play that game over and over?.

I just cant imagine paying out the kind of money I pay towards other more important things just for a Worgen here, or a bit of re textured monsters there.

I mean I can only do the same boar killing quest so many times before it just loses all novelty and amusement.

What?

The $20 a month pretty much covers the monthly decimal patch; which includes on average 60 hours of extra content.

You pay close to $100 here for a game that lasts 7. And don't go saying that "new experience by the release of a new game" bullshit, each patch is exactly that, new experience.

Yeah, that is very true. But that is the reason it doesn't cost every month at least :p

lol 60 hours extra content.

Dude your being far too optimistic about the level of content a subscription fee buys.

But you already know that, fanboyism muchly.

The monthly sub is nothing considering the amount of regular content updates the game receives. That and what goes towards keeping your server up and running and the amount of maintenance that goes into a game of its size. Although that's not to say Blizzard doesn't also make a killing from it.

But really, I don't see how the monthly sub is so scary. I could understand your dislike of them if you were living off the dole or something, but fifteen bucks a month (or cheaper) is nothing. If you're set up for recurrent payment, you're probably not even going to detect the withdrawals made from your account. Warcraft is breaking nobody's bank.

Valid point, but lets bear in mind the vast bulk of humanity cant justify 15 buck a month for a poor game which gets old quickly.

When you work for a living can you imagine paying out every month for something which is as far as your concerned, worthless?.

While you can argue that from Blizzards perspective a monthly subscription fee is necessary (and you have admitted that allot of it is hefty profit on top of running costs) for most people a game just isn't worth that constant outgoing of money.

Let's also keep in mind that not everyone shares the same opinion of you.

Interesting to see you pulling random facts out from nowhere about just what humanity can and can't do, though. I could swear that WoW was a pretty high runner in online charts and sales, or at least was for a long, long time.

What's the matter? Poor?

note that I don't actually give a shit about WoW nor is this an endorsement for anyone to subscribe to it

lol poor

The bulk of humanity neither has a PC to play WoW, nor do they have internets or even electricity.

I agree, the game patches add large amounts of hours to the game. like the new battlegrounds, new raids, new dungeons, new areas, new achievements, you name it. i still haven't scratched the surface of the game. i have like 1700 achivement points out of a possible 17000 which is about 10% complete. its sickening what you can do in this game
