Twilight Princess

How the hell do I get to the Sacred Grove in Faron Woods? I think I can see it, on the map in the poision fog area... but ack, how the hell do I get to it? I've jumped all the way around the place using the Z-jump thingy but nothing.

It should just be Z jump. Don't be in too much of a rush to get there. You'll see a bastard from an old game causing more distress than he did when he was technically a villain.

I've just completed the game. And I feel like crying cause I know I'll never play another game as good as that in my life.

Mind you, I said that after OoT.

Yeah, I was doign the Z jump, just in the wrong area. I was in the purple foggy area of Faron Woods, and theres an area on the map (a little passage leading to a circular chamber place) that I presumed was it. It's not, but that part of the map is impossible to get to anyway. :S I can't see the entrance to it anywhere.

Anyway, I got to the Sacred Grove in the end. I swear there were passages opening in places that weren't there before. They captured the confusion of the Lost Woods very well.

[SPOILERS]

Just restored the Eldin Bridge, so now it's back to the desert which looks fuppin' BRILLIANT. So lush. I can't wait to get to the temple/prision place.. whatever it is. Everytime I've been to Lake Hylia I've looked at those pillars and thought ''Goddamn I want to stand beneath those things'' - Finally time! Think I'm going to proceed to the temple tomorrow. Time for some explorin'!

The Arbiter's Grounds (temple in the desert) was possibly my favourite temple in the game. With Temple 6 being a close second. (I can't tell you the name without fear of Spoilers :p)

Overall, the best boss was Lakebed Temple possibly followed by the boss of Temple 7 (again, it would ruin the story :p)

God I love this game. As far as I can tell there is no bonus for completing it. :( No special outfits, no starting the game with some fun items, no Nintendo Gallery, no Boss Mode.

But still, I love this game.

Although to be honest I have a few gripes. But I won't say them because they'll give stuff away.
Although mainly, the lack of Tingle. :(

Yeah, I've just done the Arbiter's Grounds. Very nice, although it felt a bit small. :\ I'm not sure how...

[POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD]

I have a few small gripes, too, like it's still a way too easy game. The only time I've died is by small frustrations like falling off a ledge or into lava/quicksand, etc. No enemy has come close to killing me yet. Of course, this could all change later on. And the bosses feel to weak, aswell, aswell as remaining as simple as always. The Arbiter's Ground boss, the Fossil Stalfo thing, didn't even hurt me once! All that hurt me was the small spinning blades that circle the arena.

Another is Hyrule Town. I was really hoping they'd do what they did in Majoras Mask and have things that actually happen/character development/sub-quests, whereas all I can see is getting a bridge back and bringing hot springwater in. I really liked all the things that could happen in Clock Town if you did the right things. :(

It's still a wonderful game, though.

I'm on the Snowpeak Trail now, just about to explore the Snowpeak Lodge/Ruins place. Snowboarding = :D

I loved the Arbiters grounds, and the boss was great fun. It was so reminiscent of the Forest Temple from OoT. And the spinner is a neat little item.

I'm on the Snowpeak Ruins also. About halfway through in fact. I'll finish it tonight, I was too tired last night. It shows how much I love these games. One minute it's half seven, the next it's ten o'clock - engrossing stuff. :D

I did about 5 minutes of Snowpeak Ruins, got the map and found out that yes, this is obviously looking like the next big-area of this... uh, environment, or whatever. I'll crack on tonight. Little stumped on where to go (just pushed the blocks, opened a door, went to a courtyard, couldn't do anything) but we'll see. Bearing in mind I haven't properly looked around yet.

Not meaning to put you off, but Snowpeak is probably the weakest dungeon and boss. Although probably has the most puzzles. And I <3 the Yetis.

EDIT: I just picked up Madden 07 to fill the Zelda void. Partly because I like having two games on the go at all times in case I get bored of one and secondly because Madden is supposed to be excellent MP.

EDIT2: Just got a disc error and I look at the back of Madden and it has a huge splodge of scratching. So I have to take it back to Game tomorrow and get a replacement. It's an awesome game though. And a horribly steep learning curve. Anyone who hasn't played an NFL game before would be royally screwed.

3 more days.. 3 more days! 3 mo-BLLLLLLLARETGHHHIBLLEOOOOO #)@(#@....

Christmas needs to come sooner :(

Yeah, I can't say I'm liking it too much. It doesn't feel like a dungeon, just a big area with all the basic things in a dungeon. It has the same boy effect that the Forest Temple had, too. I'm stuck at the moment though; I've just gotten a peice of heart from the main room by swinging across the chadeleirs but the room beyond that houses nothing I can see to progress. Theres a locked door which leads to the above section where the female Yeti is, and a small alcove and another door that leads to the above section of the early room where you slide the boxes around. Not sure where to go here.

I seem to remember you drop down to the slidey boxes and use your new found toy to smash the icy blocks. Unless you already did that. :E

Yeah, I completly forgot about the ice'd over things in that room. Done it now. :D But I just fell off jumping across those GOD DAMN FUPPIN CHANDELEIRS so I've got to go through it all again... for like, the 10th time... Goddamn I hate those Ice Warrior things.

I've just finished the Water Temple and might have to reconsider my goty - it was excellent :)

So far i'm finding the fighting, dungeons, and use of items to be the best yet seen in a zelda game. I haven't been so keen on the bits between dungeons, though, especially the hunt for the tears as a Wolf. Still, cracking game!

OH MAH DAYS, GIANT SPIDER111111111

;(

EDIT: Ah, he weren't all that!

Although, lol, his eye is running away. Wtf.

Ice Warrior things.

One of my favourite enemies. Looks-wise. Horribly annoying though. But just wait until the Darknuts.

Me neither. They didn't spend enough time on the between dungeon bits. Although it does get better after Temple 4.

Hahaha! Awesome boss. Nice to see a returning boss from previous games.

I really didn't like the Ice Warriors. All they did was knock me off of edges. :(

I was actually waiting for a giant spider as I remember in one of the early videos seeing one, only then it was Link running through a cavern Crash Bandicoot style with one chasing him. Hmm. Pretty easy though, but I don't think it really fit the style of the temple. I mean, yeah, there were turns of little spider-type things everywhere, but for the Temple of Time - the grand temple of all mystic Zelda-ness, etc, I was expecting some huge, armoured god or something. Ah well.

Onward, to the skkiieeeesss!

I was expecting Gohdan. The big guardian of the Gods like in Wind Waker. That would have made more sense. Plus it could have been awesome in TP-o-vision.

The boss of "the skies" is possibly my second favourite of the game. It's epic.

Yes! That's exactly who I was thinking of, but alas, no. :(

I seem to have dropped into some sort of Westen now. Thats enough for one night, methinks.

Said "Western" moment creates one of the most superb stealth moments in the game. :E

EDIT: I just smashed a light bulb playing Wii Tennis. ;(

About to start the Sky Temple place.. thingy. Good to see a bit more of something to do inbetween temples - others were a bit lacking.

Thank God you didn't fall fowl of the game-breaking bug. If you save in the cannon room after the man has left, you can't warp because the game thinks the man is still there. There's a YouTube video of it.

Crikay, thank God in deed. Although, I didn't save for a lonnnnng time during that stage of the game. I went round all the statues and everything and didn't save until I got to the start of the temple.

Bit of a bummer though, that. Is there a way around it?

Nope. You have to start the entire game again. It must really really suck.

Sheeeesh. Fuppin' hell, aye that must suck major amounts. I mean, great game n' all (!) but I really don't think I could go through it all again this soon to actually having done all of it... if you get what I mean. Just yesterday I had to backtrack through the Temple of Time 2 times from top to bottom because a) I didn't learn the Back Slash/Roll so I couldn't do the miniboss and b) I forgot the Boss Key, stupidly (admittidly it wasn't in a obvious place like normal) and goddamn that alone annoyed me.

I feel sorry for anyone that does get countered by this bug. :(

You don't need the Backslash for the Darknut. It's possible with just rolling etc.

Played about 5 hours of Zelda today so far and finished the first dungeon. Very impressed with this game. Graphics are nice, really, they are. The controls on the Wii are great, got the hang of them straight away pretty much, just like a normal controller. Gameplay has been fun also with the mini-quests being pretty cool and they;ve made the game more enjoyable, rather than just going from dungeon to dungeon.

GG so far.

Agreed. I've played 4 hours in total of Zelda, 3 on Wii Sports.

The only thing is I wish Zelda used the same cursor sensitivity that the Wii Sports/Wii Menu uses. Zelda's one is a bit smoother.

Just got the game last night. I'm pleasently surprised to report that it plays just fine on the GCN.

Still, ugh, Midna makes me wish for Navi.

Got TP today for the GC, not really played it yet apart from having a look around the Forest. I've been addicted to Guitar Hero II (which I suck at BTW).

Hah! I got Guitar Hero 2 as well, and I suck at it too. I'm gradually getting better though.

My brother on the other hand, has almost already beaten the game >_<

Up to the Goron Mines, loving it so far.

Just some different things -

a) After playing a heavy dose of OoT as a leadup to it, Death Mountain being on the other side is extremely disorienting.
b) The story rocks... hard.
c) Midna's weird little gibberish language is damn awesome.
d) The Wii-mote is real good for Zelda.. and the speaker is ok here and there (sword sounds = no, Midna's laugh = yes)
e) OMGPOSTMANLOL
f) Jousting against a fat orc on a boar is damn epic.
g) To be honest, the Forest Temple was very meh... but the end boss was great.

I am.. uh, I think I'm, just returning to the desert now with all the shards. My Gamecube has now been unplugged though to make space for the 360. I don't know when I will resume playing. :(

I think I'd even prefer Tingle Tuner over Navi when it comes to sidekicks. Tatl was marginally better...

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***

Heh, half way through the fire temple atm. Just got the bow after fighting that huge goron, that was an ace battle.
Awesome awesome game!
Joasting was ace.
And the moment before that when they bad guys on hogs came riding into kakariko village in slow motion looked ****ing sweet.

Off to play some more in a bit :)

If they ever made a game with Tingle as a sidekick I would assasinate Nintendo's president.

After looking everywhere I finally found a copy for Gamecube, I'm about 4 hours in and I'm just starting the forest temple. Great so far, only gripe is that you can only equip two items at once, I'm surprised I hadn't read anything about that. Oh and I didn't think I'd mind the reading, but I agree with the criticisms that it's about time we got some voice acting
