I also just want to show my support for this developer and this publisher. Nothing lets them know what they are doing right like cold hard cash. :thumbs:
 
so people won't be able to play multiplayer demo after today or people can't download the demo after today?
 
The demo that is now up on PSN is a MP Beta.

It has deathmatch, objective (capture the treasure/flag), co-op online (dunno what thats about yet) and a GOW2 style swarm co-op..thing where you fight off waves of foes in co-op.

The ranking system is similar to COD4 in that you get perks but you just dont choose your weapons (you pick those up around the maps). You get cash for every kill and get a 1000 bonus for streaks of grenade kills, pistol kills, melee kills etc. This 'cash' is used in the online shop for unlocking perks, taunts, skins etc in the game's online store, as well as acting as your XP. More cash = higher rank.

Its ridiculously beautiful, and has subtle differences over the first game.

Uncharted to me had the greatest story telling of any game ever, as you loose yourself in the story. The characters were so loveable and I became SO attached.

If Uncharted 2 is better as the reviews say, then this could simply be the greatest game ever made, not like MW2 will be as its sales will be higher of course, but that game with have nothing on Uncharted 2 it seems.
 
Gamespy also gave this a good review, take that for what you will...

Besides that, I've seen alot of other very positive reviews for this game, and I am quite tempted to buy a PS3 solely because of this (stupid? I don't care).

Yes, and also I don't think it's stupid. I bet a lot of people are gonna do that.
 
Eurogamer gave the damn thing a 10/10, what has this world come to? I suddenly feel like an idiot for not owning a PS3.
 
This could well be the first game ive seen released with so many 10/10 scores.

Its a no-brainer. Buy it. End of.

Yeah, these next two weeks are going to be slow. Of course, Demon's Souls will help cushion the blow next week. It has also been getting incredible reviews and rightly so. It is the best PS3 game to date. Go get it. Then get Uncharted 2. :thumbs:
 
This thing is getting rediculous reviews. Are Sony bribing the **** out of everyone? Everything on metacritic is either 100% or 9/10.

I know! It is clearly not getting the lip-service or attention it deserves in the press, but the ones who do devote any attention to it heap loads of praise all over it. Very impressive. Word of mouth should carry this one to new heights. That's my hope at least, so I make sure I sing its praises everywhere I can.

This game confuses me. The videos of it looke pretty underwhelming, to be honest. I mean, it looks good, but not that good.
 
WHats wrong with the PS3? Err...just the price?

And now thats been KIND of rectified. I think its still too expensive even though its a slim version now, but they still need to stop hogging.

However outselling the 360 and Wii 3:1 in one month is quite impressive, if completely predictable.

SUrprised at Demon Souls, really havent seen anything of it on sites and in PS mags.


The first Uncharted still is that kind of game that you cant appreciate until you get your hands on it and experience the characters. The gameplay is quite GOW-ish, but its the narrative and the way you feel about the game that makes it awesome.

Personally I think the reviews are a little influenced by this fact, its like playing the perfect Indy/Lara/GOW movie, and the high you get from it, that happyness has been sifted into the reviews. Basically an experience that is like 'OMFGITZAWEZOMEROXOR!' and straight into typing a review like a giddy little kid on their birthday.

However, Uncharted WAS amazing, and Uncharted 2 is apparently better? Guaranteed purchase for fans.

Actually, I think Uncharted was flawless apart from, like almost every game these days, the ending was a bit...oh dear. The pacing, the UNBELIEVABLY addictive story, the INSTANTLY loveable characters, the sense of wanting to continue playing and experience the story. Uncharted 2 takes all that and adds more set-piece moments, better gameplay and the story and characters are back? God I CANNOT wait.

For those that havent experienced Uncharted's characters and story, its literally like playing the best movie youve ever seen. Its COMPLETELY in a class of its own.

That's my point dumbshit, I wanted to see if he had any real reasons or if he was just angry cuz he bought a 360 instead and it died but he can't afford a ps3 so he has no choice but to defend his 360 with his life.

I'm not really sure what you think you're defending, no one's attacking the PS3 as far as I can tell.

Finished the first one literally last night. Great fun but the last few levels were incredibly frustrating because of the many instant-kill enemies you fight. Lots of trial and error at the end of the game but it was still tons of fun. 2nd one looks ace.

Yeh very true. Particlularly on Hard difficulty which is what I play most action-adventure games on as they are usually pretty short.

I have a feeling they really ironed-out any of the difficulty spikes such is the care that went into the game's development.

This just proves that sooner or later, psn community is going to turn into a shitfest just like xbox live.

BTW, this game's matchmaking system is a shit. A SHIT.
 
Gametrailers gave it a 9.3 as it doesnt do anything new, its just so unbelievably addictive and polished.

Again, the PS3 has its game/icon.

I swear this game wouldnt be as good if the guy who does Drake's voice didnt do it if you know what I mean. In that review, as in the last game, I cant help but laugh when he does those screams followed by the little hints of laughter at the end of them. And when he does that joke with the skeleton in the review, thats the best part for me as the voice acting by him is perfect.

I think im turning gay for Drake...

Reviewers are basically saying its flawless, perfect. I cant help but laugh at anyone who has a 360 now. They must be so jealous.

This could be the greatest game ever made...until MW2 sales prove it wrong...ahem.
