1 - Solaris is from UK.

2 - That clip does not represent British humour. Anyway it doesn't need any help not being funny, it's doing fine on it's own.

3 - Borat was made in US :)

Note I'm not from Britain, but many of my favourite comedies are.
 
british humor is more like runing around a place in fast moving camera while being chased by one of those police whit funny hats
 
No, British humour is in most cases awesome, but this sucked.
 
British humor is dark. The clip from Monty Python had a crazy rabbit biting off heads with gore everywhere. Borat came from England and I still remember the hotel room scene. Mr. Bean IMO was the best British comedian I have ever seen. Even in his clips though you find his hairy ass in it. I just mainly find British humor a little dark with hairy asses in it all the time. This is actually some of the better British humor I've seen. Beats Monty Python... Which kind of tells about how much I know about British humor.
I tried searching around for the show that brought this: Armando Iannuci show, and there are really a lot of clips from this show on youtube!

EDIT: Oh yeah, you have Mr. Bean, too! :bounce:

No. Sacha Baron Cohen is British and Borat was a regular character on his "Da Ali G Show".

The movie on the other hand was made in the US.

I'm missing a few shows, but those are the few that stood out for me. Also, Monty Python isn't THAT good.

That Armando guy is funny in a trying to be funny by not being funny but failing anyway kind of way.
 
Fawlty Towers, Black Adder and Monty Python are my top three favorite comedy shows, and they're all british.
 
Black Adder is the best British comedy by far.

One thing I noticed: Like Monty Python, it seems that you either hate it or love it. Very dry humor, although Monty is a bit more random... :upstare:

Bloody Americans and their sitcoms, too much time watching Friends and Two And A Half Men has fried their brains, can't recognize good comedy when they see it. Yes, it doesn't have a laugh track to cue your giggles, you have to actually pay attention to the jokes! I suppose it helps if your British since a lot of Armando's humour is rooted in British culture.

Armando : "So Hugh, what sort of living hell did you go through in those days".
Hugh: "Well it all started in 1939 when I joined the army,I was stationed in kent until 1941, 1942 was my gap year and we went inter-railing through Europe, it was very interesting."

Classic.
