VP hopeful Sarah Palin advocated Abstinence only education, teen daughter pregnant

Sulk you really enjoy putting words in peoples mouth don't you? I keep saying I'd prefer it to just be left up to parents. That being said if I had to choose one or the other it would be for abstinence. There is nothing contradictory there. I'm saying I'd prefer the government not stick it's nose in (the nanny state reference). You can twist what I am saying over and over. It just shows your a real dick though. I clearly did say I would support abstinence programs, but I also clarified my views later repetitively and you just ignore that part.

How am I putting words in your mouth by quoting you directly? "I support abstinence-only education" is not ambiguous.

It didn't sound like a clarification of views to anyone else. It sounded repeatedly like hypocrisy and misdirection. And though I asked the question directly several times, you never really answered it sufficiently or explained why I was asking the wrong question. Now you have made it clear what you think.

But if you read my post above you'll find it also addresses this:

I still feel this is rather duplicitous: "the nanny state is bad, but not so bad when it supports my preferances - which, by the by, are for policies evidently less effective and less moral than the alternative".
I personally think it's a substantial hypocrisy to want no state intervention (in this area), but then to not criticise those who want a state intervention which is demonstrably of the wrong kind, and rather, say "I support them".

all politics aside, i would destroy that thing

I feel sorry for Michael Palin, it looks like he won't be going to the States for several years, just to avoid the wierd looks and people saying "Are you related to Sarah Palin?"

Either that or he's just too well known.
