cool

i went to ny and dc along with some other eastern states, it was really fun, just kinda smelly in ny but maybe its just because im from the "country" type landscape, but should be fun. I'm going to the Azores (Portuguese Islands) in July, just mainly gonna see family and relax.

NYC's pretty cool. It's only a few hours drive from here so I've gone on countless day trips there. Quite similar to Boston anyways. DC's great as long as you like hobos.

hobos?
anyway,I spent $800 already for this trip, and Im not even there yet D:

edit:hobos=homeless people?

Yes. But anyway, I enjoyed DC a lot. And being as NYC is pretty much my favorite city on the planet (I go there a lot as well) I think you'll have a great time.

NYC is awesome to the max.
DC's pretty cool too, but NYC>*

Go up to 115th street when you hit NYC, nice people up there

I've never been to NYC. Always wanted to go.

I was in NYC for a day, and I got dizzy just looking at the skyline.

I've never had the urge to leave southern california

Let me quote someone.

Why is it that whenever I see someone being a complete ass for no warranted reason, its always some noob with <100 posts? Being a complete asshat is not the way to make a good impression or gain favor, at least not on these forums.

Anyways, NYC is lots of fun... one of the times I went there, my dad took me shopping for a guitar. I don't remember where, but there's this one block that is ALL guitar shops. Pretty sweet.

I stayed there last october. It's on the block of the Empire State building. And it's cramming with Koreans, since it's the Korean district. Times Square is close by; that's about a 10 minute walk. Macy's is also near iirc.

Hard Rock Cafe.

Go to ground zero, Empire State building, Statue of Liberty, Yankee Stadium (If you're into that), etc.. A lot of the stores are cool, just walk around.

Oh yes - that fresh country air. Because everyone knows that 100's of miles of gigantic piles of cow manure, chicken shit, and pig-slop smells wonderful in the country. :cheese:

As for the city, mostly it smells only in a small area where you pass on the highway near Pennsylvania and other areas. It's sulfur. I think it has to do with city water treatment plants. In the country they often use water wells instead of treated water.

On topic, I'm also taking a trip to DC within a week or two. I am going with my older brother and my dad to hear Neil Armstrong speak at the Air and Space Museum in DC. He was one of the guys that went to the moon.

My older brother was going to be an astronaut, but didn't qualify since he is color-blind (colors appear the wrong color to him. green looks brown, etc. ) This is in case a panel needs to be re-wired in space, or thats the reason they gave him.

It would have been ****ing awesome to be able to say my brother went to The Moon, Mars, or out into space even. D=

So, he settled on being an Aero-space engineer and worked for NASA and other companies, usually dealing with rocket propulsion.
