I agree with Pen, you should try and expand the contest outside of HL2. Right now you are limiting entree possibilities.

So how has it been changed? Its still creating an avatar for hl2, isnt that what it was before? I didnt read it before the update so i dont know.

Well, I've got an idea, but it's got to involve Friggy as well as HL2, or I'll be walking around with a bucket jammed over my head again. That's okay, isn't it?

Sorry about that guys, it's changed now. For some reason earlier when I updated it, only part of the update when through.. That was really strange. I wasn't on my computer though so I'm not sure exactly what happened. So Brian, you don't have to use hl2 anymore

This contest has led me to discover that BMP files aren't legal tender for avatars. Whyzat?

^ The one up there had to be converted to GIF. It totally messes the colours.

They probably don't allow bitmaps because their file sizes are much larger, does it let you upload a jpg?

It can have a hl2 theme, it just can't contain screenshots or concept work. I meant that anything you make has to be drawn by you. Sorry for the confusion

That's probably it, but the file size can't make too much of a difference if it's only 50-by-50 pixels.
Jpg would normally work, but MSpaint art gets blurred to hell with it. Gif seems to be the best case scenario for now.

I've never actually played KOTOR. Does this starwars robot also carry a pistol?
This seems to be a bizarre co-incidence. All similarites to other avatars or characters are purely unintentional.

Actually, I've been drawing similar dudes since 2002. Lucas must be ripping me off!

Edit: With some help from google, it turns out HK-47 is similar, but mostly because of the colour and the fact that he's a robot. (I actually ripped the colour from a M1A2 Tank.) There goes my unfounded lawsuit!

Also, I must add that Brian's avatar goes on longer than any avatar has any natural right to.
It would defy the laws of avatar physics, if such things were to be established and measured by diligent avatar scientists. :O
