Nice stuff, I didn't nottice the blurriness, but most likely as your comparing it to what you saw it as before it got compressed...

Actually, when I checked again and compared the copy on HL2.net to the one I have on my C: drive, I realised that it was the way the bloody Windows Picture and Fax Viewer renders animated gifs. I smell cut corners. When it plays through IE, it looks fine. Go figure.

Looks like a paper clip for the crowbar, maybe some red ink to dye it??, then a spray paint can to spray paint his torso orange like an HEV suit. I checked it out frame by frame and the animation is done really well . My avatar was my computer catching on fire, then for the holidays I changed it up a little....but now I'm too lazy to make a 'spring' themed one. Maybe i'll get around to it eventually. For mine, I do all the frames in paint, in one huge top to bottom 'slide'. Then import that into flash and just scroll the 'slide' and it looks like a movie, basically I make it the old school way with film over a projector, but it's a frame, not a projector. Good luck on your next one. Do I get the bonus points now? hehe

Paper clip: Correct.

Red ink: Close enough. I was trying to indicate Red Nail Varnish/Polish (The finger on the bottle.).

Spray can: Spot on. I personally find it amazing, but even though I think that it's instantly recognisable as a spray can, the two people I've showed the gif to here can't tell what it is.

The way I do it is, I make a black picture in PSP, which I then fill with bits of my characters and their props.

Then, I make a strip of 50x50 squares for the frames, which is technically then a picture about 1800 pixels wide by 50 tall.

I make a repeating background in it, then paste the little posed characters over the top.

Then I cut and paste each frame into Animation Shop.

I could do it by pasting each little character and prop into AM, but for some strange reason they all end up twice as large as normal if I do that...

Yeah, I'll give you the points :E.

actually, I just really like the character of Friggy. Its cool to see him in his own mini movie.

Well, my favourite bit was seeing him get a headcrab in the back of the head.

Worth waking up with my graphics tablet stylus stuck in one ear for. I think Friggy is secretly rather happy to be a star, though. At least, he hasn't deleted the gif...

Brian, you and I have very simliar styles of making pixel animation . I do the same thing, only it's vertical rather than horizontal. Also, now I'm starting to use FlashMX more in my animations. I do a hybrid, like for this one:

I actually animated the barrel in flash mx, because it made it much easier to do the rotation, etc. The rest was all keyframed. You and I should do a joint animation movie sometime .

Brian, you and I have very simliar styles of making pixel animation . I do the same thing, only it's vertical rather than horizontal. Also, now I'm starting to use FlashMX more in my animations. I do a hybrid, like for this one:

Here is actually the strip I made for the zombie one in paint(resized). Notice how the barrel suddenly isn't there anymore? That's when I began animating it in flash.

Seems there is a limit on how many pictures you can use img tags for, so if you want to see them you'll just have to follow the link .

Cool stuff. If I try to access the "test" directory I get a "You do not have permission, yadda yadda yadda" message...

Your pixel art reminds me of those old Lucasarts games.
