Me and my friend were suffiently bored in Study Hall today so we decided to take a stroll on the school computers. We sniffed around the C drives and not suprisingly nothing was done to keep us from ****ing with stuff :) so we changed the shutdown and startup screens to say obscene things. The people in class thought we was haxorz :rolleyes: but it was fun as shit.
 
That makes you an official 'l4m3r' ... but well done anyway, idiot.
 
What makes this so "official"? It's not really that hard and I have done it many times in the past years. :p

I punched me little sister in the face today. I am officialy a boxer.
 
An accomplice and I once savagely deleted the Microsoft Word "Clippy", the little paperclip that constantly offers you pointless advice, from some computers at me high school... we were never caught! :D

I think that is a service that a lot of people most probably want, you should of owned up to it and got a reward. :cheers:
 
I used to delete random windows folders on the computer at my school. was great fun :eek:

Also good fun:

Take a screenshot of the desktop, save as bmp, set it as the background, throw all icons in a new folder and see people clicking frantically. :)
 
The only out of bounds stuff I've done on school PCs was locate the IT Tecchie's copies of Steam, Quake and Everquest.

Edit: Can't have been Steam x_x, sorreh, it was actually their HL files ^^

Clippy is the greatest thing ever conceived by Microsoft. Oh, the joy when I saw him rendered in pseudo-3D on Office 2000!
 
You could change access rights on the computers in my old college really easily, we could have blocked people from using work stations if we wanted to, but we didn't, because it would have been lame :|
 
a couple of years ago, i installed a keylogger on several of my friends computer by emailing them a little talking-cartman exe that i piggy-backed on it. i collected a screenshot from each of them once an hour, logged every program they opened and website they visited. i watched several chat sessions, one of them slightly 'naughty', and collected numerous passwords (mostly e-mail), and enough info to use two credit cards online. after about 3 days i told them all what i did and they were all pissed.. it was very easy of course, and i don't pretend to be a 1337 H4XX0|2, but it sounds a little more involved than what you did.

oddly enough i didn't catch anyone looking at porn. i must have prudish friends, but it was only 3 days..

I made a batch file that netsended messages to another PC. :)
Soooo many hundereds of messages a second that it crashed the other PC. :D
 
about 200 computers at my school are new, still have the service sticker on the outside with the winxp pro keys....

i remember that about old macs too.. but i don't recall the way you did it.. it had something to do with getting into the shell, someone showed me (i never did it myself).
 
Call me the n00b haxor, but all I do on my school computers is run a dos prompt, go to root C:\, type 'del *.*', then let my finger hover over Enter. Kinda like taking hostages.

try typing "deltree *.*" instead.
 
I changed my friends homepage...
To some irritating flash page...
And i set registry permissions...
So he couldnt change it through IE...
It was like that for a few months
Then he formatted.
That was fun.
 
Last week we found a loophole in our schools computers (we use thin clients, that are connected running to a server running redhat, xp and 2000). When in XP we went to my computer, saw that you could access add and remove programs from there... then we proceded to delete the norton thingy from the server. And hey presto! entire computer system in school ****ed up! it's been a week and it still doesn't work properly!
