What did you do today in Oblivion?

I thought it was fun when it was challenging. Where I could barely stay alive fighting skeletons in some dungeon with 1 hand holding a torch and shit. So freakin Awesome.

As I started finding and equipping more and more powerful items, It started to get less and less interesting - not to mention I wasn't seeing new monsters anymore. Somewhere around level 30 It was like god mode. I had 100% reflect damage and 100% reflect spell. I can stand there and they die from attacking me.

Maybe I will start a new character when I have some time so I can have fun again.

They really needed to consider enchanted items better, like world of warcraft did. Also, there should always be some enemies out there that can hand you your ass.

They made the game so you can get to what - level 200? yet at level 30 you had seen it all, and conquered it all.

Make a sneaky-type character with a bow. The game plays quite different then.

I did mess around with the bow, but I found that juggling weapons, torches(early on), and shields was a hassle, and also you can't have a shield equipped with a bow IIRC. I like being able to block, especially since I tend to make the slowest characters - opting to put points on other attributes that I feel are much more important. But I guess if you are going to go with a Bow/sneak, you need to go all or nothing. That means making a fast character, and possibly going with a two hand weapon since you can't use a shield.

I killed those noobish pirates in the waterfront district that have been threatening me as my character approaches their little dingy.

I'm dissapointed by the pirate element of the game. After watching Pirates of the Carribean and Blackbeard, I was hoping for more competition. Sure, your supposed to sneak onboard as a thief to steal their booty, but there was only three of them. Three!, and for pirates, they were pretty wimpy tbh. Of course, my character was level 13 when I bested them.

He's an Imperial warrior/mage hybrid character too. No sneaking for me. I'd rather cut up and burn everyone in sight than sneak around.
I guess my character's more of a Captain Barbossa/raider type (dead people are easier to search) than a Jack Sparrow/thief type (steal the goods when they aren't looking).

yeah the game is too easy, but there is a difficulty slider in the options, but I found it just makes each fight take forever, instead of actually making it harder.

I made strong characters. I was up in that game like IM THE JUGGERNAUT BITCH bodies literally flying up into the air left and right

Do you use Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul?

I used the light version of the mod and kept everything else but the slow leveling. x4 slower is too slow imo. I can just increase the difficulty if I wanted to make things harder, but that's the "wimp out" way to play. Difficulty's easier to control that way than using a slower leveling mod fs though.

TBH however, I didn't kill all three pirates without the help of the Imperial guardsmen. :(

Still, I expected much more opposition from pirates.
