What did you do today in Oblivion?

Holy shite I found some kick-arse stuff whilst freely exploring dungeons and caves n shiz. I rolled a Barbarian-esque class, Strength and Speed, doing pretty well, except I have pretty much no health and no magicka. It makes for some awesome hit and run combat, though, especially since I put Sneak as a major skill.

Roffle, that's Barbarian-esque? Sneak, hit and run? Where did you see a barbarian like that? :D

A friend of mine's Barbarian has were-wolf in Diablo 2. WHERE WOULD YOU SEE A BARBARIAN WERE-WOLF!?

I finished the Main quest. HUZZAH! MARTIN SEPTIM HUZZAH!

I've literally just been bumming around, visiting all the towns and picking up a few quests at each of them, including all the Mage Guild recommendations. Man, you find some weird stuff. Sheogorath's shrine is surround by lunatics who are hilarious to talk to.

Isn't that the Wolfhowl Barbarian helm?

I solved some DB quests, and now I'm stuck at a "hard"-lock that's next to impossible to pick.

Once you get the hang of lock picking it's pretty easy. Keep giving the pins a nudge untill you get one that comes down quickly. The chances are the next one will be a slow one. Works 99% of the time.

I've been picking very hard locks with my lv 2 mage who has very little agility and is crap at security.

spam your lock skills ..open the last tumbler ..exit lock picking game, then go back on and repeat over and over till you reach journeyman ..when you fail one of the tumblers wont fall and it will easier ...or you can always look for the unbreakable lockpick quest

There are two easy cues for lockpicking . .
#1: Sound. The pitch is different, and it's somewhat of a double-clock.
#2: Up Speed: Watch the speed it goes up - by the time the lock starts going down, it's too late.

And a little bonus . . .
#3: On average or higher locks, the tumbler will never go down slowly twice in a row.

Today I:
Got the Skeleton Key
Got the Sanguine Rose
Got a spell that removes people's clothing :dozey:

What spell is that? Sounds like something id want.

I got a kick ass bow today, ill put it up in my vids soon.. It's a massive and sometimes funny effect.

I'll exchange the information on the spell for the information on the bow. :hmph:

Lol, I snuck into some cave while doing the knight of the white stallion quest (2nd) to kill Bruno. Anyhow, inside I found a Master retort (That's right there is a master, it's not limited to expert), and shoes of waterwalk in Bruno's cave. In the cave next to his was a big brawl marauders vs black bow bandits, anyhow I fought through and collected a bow of massive fire damage and a bow of massive lightning damage. I also found pumpkin the dog in some tent under ground, he seemed to not care that 15 dead people lay outside the tent. Anyhow, the bows do about 30 ft radius damage and the fire one looks quite impressive, very impressive. (ill post a clip of the effect). I never had such a bow but I am sure it's not uncommon.

Sounds nice.

As for the spell, just offer some Cyrodyllic Brandy to the statue of Sanguine. He will give you a rather hilarious mission involving that spell.

Statue of sanguine.. Where is this?

Um... not entirely sure. It's west of Imperial City. I'll go in game later and grab a screenie. Or search for one online if I'm lazy.

EDIT: NOBODY LOOK IF YOU WANT TO FIND IT YOURSELF!

I went to this bum town and killed everyone there. :D

I forgot what it's called but it's a town near where you find Uriel's Blade guard-dude to show him the amulet.

Hackdirt, I think. Bunch of bloody weirdos. I stumbled across it in the middle of the night after clearing out a vampire nest so I was already pretty shakey. Then I find this skanky town, with an inn full of cobwebs and no innkeeper.

Everyone was in the church :o at like 3am. Reading out of the Necronomicon. They started threatening me, so I spent a while talking to them and getting them all to like me, then rented a room. Didn't stop me getting attacked in my sleep ;(

Today I helped a ghost to get free and got a really nice sword in the progress.

BTW, Where can I buy mortars?

I did that ghost quest and just threw the sword on the floor as soon as I got it. At that point it wasn't worth even selling.

imperial city, the Main Ingredient ..or any other alchemy store

I picked up a nice Journeyman pestle and mortar, plus the whole alchemy/calcinator caboodle through clearing out some necromancers from a ruin. Doesn't count as stolen goods either.

it doesnt change the higher your alchemy skill gets? i was misinformed D:

I went and killed every single person in Bruma because my family (real-life family that is) were being highly annoying and I needed a stress relief.

Then I pressed F9.

Can't wait till I'm all-powerful and capable of wiping out whole towns. Much less a single civilian without rousing the entire town guard...

Just temporarily turn down the difficulty in the Gameplay options, Badhat, then you can practically three-shot guards and you barely take damage.

I finished the Mages Guild :D

Now, I just need to finish the Fighters' Guild and I am pwnage incarnate.

I am still level 9 after buying the game the second day it was released.

Ah, right. I keep forgetting about that damn slider...

Maybe I should turn down that slider. I nearly got killed by a boar today... ><

Anybody know where I can find wayshrines? I stumbled across one today, but I'm looking for more.

There's one on hero hill to what I believe is mara. You get a self heal and heal other spell. I also believe it to be next to Anvil , right next to it.

are there actually any of the nine gods shrines to get the blessings from their altars i need some more stuff to do

Joined the Dark Brotherhood, killed Rufio, went to jail, broke out... killed some guards... died on my way out of the city. D:
