what do you want to see in cs hl2 port

Change is a good thing but not wanted. What everyone is trying to say is they want to play their beloved cstrike from the 1.3-1.5 days. Look on the sales of cz, I bet you they are pretty low compared to the total amount of people that play cstrike.
Now, I'm also not saying innovation is not good and that valve hasn't delivered some great innovative games over the years, but we just want to play some good ol' cstrike. If you innovation, their are plenty of other games out there. I'm sure HL2 will be innovative enough.
Sure, the shield was innovative but contrary to popular to belief it adds nothing to tactics (even though you might be fooled by its name, tactical shield :p). If any of you think the shield is so easy to beat, then I would gladly 1v1 anyone and I get my shield and you get anything and I gaurantee I win 10/10 times. The shield is like having godmode and then gay the person out of their mind with a quick peek and a headshot. The shield just creates holdups on the terrorist side, causing them to lose any momemtumm and have to sit and wait untill they can take out the shielder. That is definitly not what is needed in cstrike. If anything, cstrike needs more speed.
Lastly, what is wanted is some of the old gameplay. Not everything and definitly not bugs and exploits like some person assumed.
 
Before anyone else mentions anymore suggestions about adding new things into the game i need to clear something up. Things like proneing which slow down the game, that are part of games like bf1942, and DoD, are not for CS. What do bf and dod have? constant respawning such as deathmatch games, which immediatly speed the game up. So don't mention anymore please :p because this game is slow enough as it is
 
I wish they would change the p_models of the m4 and the colt so when you have the suppressor off it looks off to other players. I just killed a kid through a box cause I saw this suppressor sticking out and he kicked me for wall hacking. Sux and I think it'd be an easy fix.
 
Just lost a large reply because the forums logged me out, so I'll condense it into two concise points:

1: Balance, tweak and remove guns.

30% of the guns in CS are used 90% of the time. Put short, there's a large balance issue with the guns. The AK/m4/deagle/awp dominate everything, it's almost as if the other guns in the game are there as an afterthought. I like the ak/m4 etc. as they are, but the other guns should have their prices adjusted, or increased in power and/or accuracy. The scout was a handy little fun cannon before the infamous sniper rifle delay was added. The delay balanced the awp (a frustrating way to balance a gun if I ever did see one, another method would've been preferable, like an accuracy penalty), but effectively took what little edge the scout had. The scout either has to lose much of its price tag or retain its old fastswitch in my opinion.

Also, some guns like the dual elites should just be removed 'cause they're beyond help or gimmicks. Also, night vision goggles, anyone? ;)

2: Remove the shield.

It's not fun to play against (it is fun to use against a bunch of wannabe pro players who've got huge attitudes and bug the hell out of 'em, but that's not a particularly good advertisment for a game feature), it's not a skilled 'weapon', it's very difficult to beat for its price and it's heinously frustrating to deal with a shielder who's backed up by an (unwitting, most of the time) accomplice who will just pick you off the moment you open up, out manouver(sp) or charge the shielder. How the shield survived for so long with so little support behind it I'm not sure.

Finally:

People need to realise that asking valve to create server settings for major gameplay elements will never be supported. A large part of a game/mod like counter-strike's appeal is its ease of use (CS is simple to pick up and play for a beginner and not terribly hard to at least get a few kills), so servers running different shield rules, different running and jumping rules, different awp rules and such will only conspire to create confusion and so forth. The shield is happily banned on so many servers because it is almost universally reviled -- the same cannot be said for most of the other things.
 
If this has already been said then screw it cause i tried reading up to page 7 then got bored.

Watching the demos i noticed at no time did any one throw nades at the car wrecks to see if they are movable,i wanna blow the shit outta them and send them sky high just for fun. :afro:
 
i doubt this is in cs:s, but it would be cool if you throw a grenade at a door or at a wall and the door breaks, or the wall deforms fro mthe explosion. only think thats in hl2 tho, not very CS-like.

the most important thing would be AN UNBEATABLE ANTICHEAT-SOLUTION...
