Just read this article on the inquirer
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=11763
Basicly it says that the new ATI card which is to be sold with a free copy of Half-Life 2 is not ready. It even claims that they will not even have a board for the ATI event on the 30th of September.
Now couple this with a story from a few weeks back
[URL=http://]http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=11552
Which says ATI have paid 8 million for the right to sell Half-Life 2 with thier new card.
There is no way ATI is letting Valve release Half-Life2 until this card is ready.
Well its just a theory
