Thats a really unstable position. Have you experienced what every single religion has to offer? If not then how do you know you've made the right choice? Please define "proper amounts" for me, do we receive a 'proper' amount of heat and light? There are creatures who will die at room temperature, there are also creatures that thrive in pitch dark at the bottom of the freezing ocean, isn't that proper light and heat as well? It is for those animals.

The simplest example are virii (because they are fairly simple and evolve quickly) who can be easily observed changing to their environment, to improve chances of survival. Best known example of this is HIV which changes so quickly it gets immune for every medication.
