Which would you rather own in real life, the portal gun or the Gravity gun?

Title says all. I really can't decide, I'd rather have the gravity gun if I didn't have Chell's heel springs. Tell me your thoughts! :bounce:
 
Portal Gun


I have had this question bothering me, if you shot a portal at a person, would a portal form where the torso is?
 
Gravity gun, for sure. Portal gun would be neat, but pretty impractical for actual use (meaning, other then screwing around, it's pointless).

If you want it for transporting items, it can only transport an item as big as the portal, which is less then the gravity gun can hold. (meaning the GG can hold alot more then the portal gun can transport).

If you want it for combat, with the portal, you can run away, with the GG you can basically build a fortress, then use random crap as ammo.

If you want it for screwing around, I think the portal gun would be fun for a while, but in the long run the GG would be ALOT better.

I choose Gravity Gun.
 
Gravity Gun. I'd rather **** with reality than alter it - or myself.

Besides, how many interesting places have perfectly flat, stone surfaces?
 
Portal Gun for sure. Do some crazy sh17, go places just by looking at the horizon. Hmmm, might want to attach a scope on it for that matter.

Portal gun definitely.
I'd set up one portal at my house, and one in my flat at uni - instant travel between points that are about 1 and a half hours driving apart.

Also, I'd love to be able to move instantly from a set place to place.. like my local game shop, for example. I won't have to bug my Mom to take me. :D

Hey I wouldn't put it on the operational end! I'd put it like...sniper rifle style.
 
Portal Gun...put a portal under my car, put another on the wall and do my oil change without having to jack up the car or get filthy! :D

So back to the only thing that's worth it... THE INTERNET!
 
As a medic (not TF2, real life), the portal gun could make my job a lot simpler as lifting is 90% of the job.

Portal gun for sure. I could take it skiing and instead of riding the lift up to the top of the mountain, I could put a portal at the top of the hill and at the bottom and perpetually ski for the rest of the day. Also you might be able to shoot the portal at the moon or some other planet and teleport to that planet instantaneously.

Why? With the gravity gun you still must resort to brute force to accomplish many goals. Not so with the portal gun.
 
Although if I had the portal gun, I would also invest in a lot of protective padding so I don't break my legs or some shit.
 
I'd use the portal gun to construct a perpetual motion device, and make billions, then I'd use the money to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!1

If I had Chell's heel springs then I'd take the portal gun.

Instant transportation! And Portals are just awesome.

How often do you want to lift anything bigger than a portal anyway? :p

Yeah good luck with that and destroying planet earth by forcing an evacuation of the Earth's atmosphere onto the other planet.

cause if you look at the vids and play it the PG has a small GG attachment
 
Portal Gun, though I would probably kill myself accidentally 5 minutes after trying it out for the first time.
 
Portal gun: orange in the bathroom, blue next to the couch when I'm settled for the fitba.
