I think it'll be magnusson, yeh he is not a major character, yet, but he still is busy at work with Kleiner and Eli, but I think he will be killed in the Strider/combine attack we've heard of at towards the end.

It'd make no sense killing a character who has yet to really leave an impact on the player.

Although if they killed him in Episode 3 it might actually be comic relief.

Can somebody explain why Mossman is such a great character? There must be something I'm missing here.

I agree, I just don't understand how she's such a great character. She's a good character, but best character in HL? I don't see how that's possible.

The best characters are Alyx, Gman, and Dr. Breen. I need to see moar of Magnusson to classify him, but he certainly look's like a very comical character.

I think Eli will get the chop. It would make sense, plot-wise, because it would leave a huge gaping hole in the moral of the resisitance and leave everyone wondering whether they'll pull through. It would also be a serious blow to Alyx, who would then have to come to terms with leading the resistance (she's Eli's daughter, so there-fore next in line for the job, unless they give it to Gordon). If they kill someone off just to mess with the emotions of the player, it'd be Barney, 'coz he's like, Gordon's pal from BM, but why waste an opportunity to make the story seem more bleak?

I disagree. I found having Alyx around to be genuinely beneficial most of the time in Episode One. She's not just an annoying hanger-on, she's a better teammate than I've ever had in a video game.

I second that. HL would seem to be an interesting game for great character development. Alyx's character was a blast. What I'd like to see is gordon's real character. lol. insanely impossible.

I would agree. None of the characters in HL2 are particularly special (though they did a wonderful job with Alyx in Episode One).

Kleiner is someone that you always expect to be there, really sympathethic and an iconic character. His death would be moving.
I place my bets on him.

Barney isnt in there im voting for him, nerver liked him. His jokes are boring and I would just laugh if he died...An evul laghter.

If you've read the PC Gamer preview, it's pretty damned clear who's going to die. From what it said, it's also going to be pretty gut-wrenching (as far as video games go).
